No idea where we are anymore.

After Lex rudely left, unanswered and appalled. Rhea had us seated in the living room on the floor as she explained how 'perfectly safe' the examination would be. "Cutting people open isn't exactly what we do. Its barbaric, only humans did that to learn more about our supernatural world." Rhea said with her legs crossed on the floor. She seemed nice too nice and happy. Maybe its genuine but then again life taught me that can be faked much like someone else's signature. "Right." I say side glancing Nora who did the same with 'this is actually bullshit look' it was rare to see from her normally, "You're not very trusting. I get it, but I can assure you that you won't feel a thing, maybe just a tingling sensation from my abilities." "And what are your abilities?" she smiled the brightest thing I had ever seen. "I'm a fae. A fairy in other terms." Nora and I looked at each other for a moment and immediately burst into laughter. Rhea looked at us confused and we sobered, noticing she was serious.

"Wait you're serious?" Nora asks a bit concerned, "Yes." She says slowly and seriously but she couldn't be a fairy, a fairy? What was this Tinkerbell? "Right and you fly with pixie dust from a tree?" I say and she looks even more confused, "What? Pixies are not faes they are tiny and are useless in battle. Anyway, point is, I can read your entire biology and find out what's wrong with you and what your powers are? But first you should probably get cleaned up." I looked down at myself and noticed the mud all over my shorts and legs. I mean I did feel gross, but could I leave Nora here with her? "I won't hurt her." Rhea says with sincerity in her eyes "Can you still read my-" "-no. I can't still read your mind, but I had a little sister too. I protected her like you do for Nora, I understand it." I looked at her straight in the eyes and so did she, she was trustworthy enough, she technically wasn't involved in Lex's scheming. I nodded and looked at Nora giving one last glance before heading upstairs.

Turns out Rhea is pretty decent person, she talked a little with Nora and talked about anything even about her crush from back home, which she hardly talked about with me but you know not jealous or anything. She talked to me about how fae powers and her younger sister when I returned. Nora had went off exploring for some reason "She was a fae too, I lost her a long time ago give or take 300 years, she was around 22 still young and full of life. There was a huge massacre of our kind during those times when vampires roamed in massive numbers, they came out of nowhere, ambushing us, trapping some in cages and murdering the rest. Kira was bold and a little too cocky, she stood up to them and tried fighting her way out, but... didn't work out too well. I tried to stop her, make her surrender like I did and become their 'wives' as they so put it, but we were nothing but cheap prostitutes for them." She says pain clear in her eyes "That's awful, I'm so sorry." She waves me off with a smile "It's okay it was years ago and besides if I didn't go through all that I wouldn't have met Lex, sure he might be a lot but he's not so bad once you get to know him long enough." I don't think I would get to know him. "Wait 300 years? You've lived for over 300 years? But you look so young at least late twenties from my observation." She laughs so hard I kinda liked the sound of it. "Lex was right you're a special one. I'm actually 345 years old but I don't look a day over 27. Supernaturals are sort of immortal, sure we can die but we live longer than humans." She says and straightens, "Anyway, enough of all those sappy bedtime stories ready to begin?" she says all perked up and outstretches her hands to me. I reluctantly take them and watch her eyes begin to glow the piercing green of before when she was studying me.

At first it felt weird like a chill you get before dawn, then it felt like water droplets moving up my arms to the rest of my body not painful or anything just a little uncomfortable. It was all going smoothly, I guess until there was a huge light and Rhea went flying backwards and hit a wall, "Oh my god Rhea!" I gasp standing to my feet and moving toward her "*Groans* Well that was unexpected. Ow." She says between groans and gasps. I grab her by the shoulder hoisting her up "I'm so sorry. Are you okay? Do you need-" I say moving her to the couch and sit on the floor next to it "-no. I'm okay, well I'll survive." "What happened?" Lex says from behind me clearly concerned. "I'm fine Lex just got some wind knocked out of me." She says out of breath "We were doing the examination thing when a light flashed, and she flew backwards and hit the wall." I say and Lex inches closer "Seriously I'm fine I just need a couple of seconds for the ceiling to stop spinning." Azarea then walks in taking in the scene. "What's wrong with her?" he asks gesturing to Rhea lying on the couch.
