Back in the pride lands, kiara and her mum want to give the boys some bonding time, so kiara goes with nala instead of kovu as they begin to set off they talk about kion "how do you think kions doing kiara" nala asks worriedly

Too much I imagine he's loving life,"kiara responds with while giggling nala doesn't understand instantly, then realises,"Oh wait, no, he's really young he wouldn't do that nala says with confidence "I admire that confidence but he's not a little boy any more he's 16yrs old mum and well dad's 46"'kiara says comforting nala "yeah I guess let's just get to the tree and I'll prove you wrong"nala responds with as they make there way through the pass
"Let's make camp for the night we're almost there, but kion did warn me not to travel at night near the tree,"nala tells kiara"hmm what about that little cave"kiara tells her mum "Yes that looks nice"nala says in enjoyment as they walk over and she lays down

Back at the tree, kion is walking to the tree with rani as it's dark as he sees fuli. Oh, her run with "azaard,"he says, shocked "Hmm"rani says, "Whatever she did, it worked."kion says "well yeah it was my advice. "rani says "ha no she did that by herself, "kion says playfully
"Oh really, because my methods got me you so I could imagine it worked because of me," rani says happily "yeah I guess that's true," kion says as they walk closer to the tree to get on the rock "hula they said I have a disease causing me to lose my memory that they can't fix"tai says sadly"oh I'm so sorry but atleast we have a place to live and I have a duty I'll see you later"hula says running off avoiding the guilt of knowing it was his fault

Back at the tree, Rani starts to push kion around as they begin to roll around again as kion pins rani and begins to tickle her "k-kiooon stop I'm too tickilish" she says as she squeals really loud "shhh okay wow you weren't joking kion says as as they begin to wrestle till they fall asleep by tiring themselves out

Back at the pride lands, simba and kovu are sitting at the top of Pride Rock. "You see this, kovu. One day, you will rule all of it with kiara,"simba says in a sadder tone "yeah you've Showed me this before simba. Are you okay?"kovu asks anxiously."Yeah, just thinking of retiring soon," as simba walks off towards rafikis Tree and kovu goes to zazu, "Zazu tell kiara that something is wrong with simba and not to worry too much I'll update her later"kovu says quietly kovu enters pride rock where all the lions are sleeping and heads to his rock to sleep as simba talks to rafiki

Nala is getting worried and has had enough and wakes up kiara "hmm what's going on, mum?" Kiara asks sleepily "we need to get moving and fast something isint right"nala says while looking around"okay" kiara says as slowly getting up as nala moves her to speed it up as they begin running towards the tree with in an hour there both exhausted but reach the mountain pass as they are melted by the night pride "Hi your kiara and nala right?" Baliyo asks "Yes we are. Who are you?"
"Oh, I'm baliyo rani's brother. I remember simbas speech at the ceremony, "baliyo says as he shows them to a place to sleep as they collapse almost instantly and fall to sleep

as the sun rises at the tree of life, kiara wakes up and goes for a drink around the same time. kion wakes up with rani on top of him. "rani wakes up," kion says, telling her to let him.move "no"rani says firmly "Well then you slave me no choice he says as he pits his paw round her neck and begins to kiss her before well kiara walks in but luckily lion hears someone's footsteps and breaks from the kiss as Rani gets off him like nothing happend "oh hey kiara" kion says as kiara can tell something just happened "Hey kion me and mum came for a visit giving the boys some time'"kiara says while looking at kion trying to figure out what happend "oh cool well I wasn't planning on going on patrol today anyway so I'll go see mum first"kion says as he nuzzles rani as a goodbye then leaves "soooo guess it's just us"kiara says moving her claw around on the dirt "Well kiara I've heard alot about you future queen of the pride lands that's a big deal good thing got you I can show you what I get up to on a daily bases as queen if you like?"rani offers "really that would be awesome thanks rani, "kiara says as they walk out to start some dutys

"You can tell dad we got here fine zazu now shew,"kiara says annoyed her dad doesn't trust him, "actually kiara kovu wanted me to tell you something isint right with your dad and he'll keep you posted but I went to rafikis Tree to spy on simba to find out well he's dying kiara and hiding it from you and I needed to inform you he seems okay but rafiki says he can only be healed in the pridelands but he dosent have the resources I'm sorry"zazu says as kiara almost bursts out crying as Rani stands there in shock as she sends out a roar to tell kion big problem "Hey rani what's going on?"kion asks,"simba hes-"but before she could finish kiara buts in with "dads dying" "WHAT!!!?"kion says in shock as he collapses on the floor
