POV: Talia

The blackness presses in, almost unbearable as we shoot through the wormhole.

I feel fresh air rush past me, as I hit the ground with a hard thud.

Slowly I get up, my muscles on fire, as I gaze around at my surroundings.

"What the h1ll..."

I collapse, screaming as a searing pain flits through my head.

I feel hands grip me, helping me up. It was Nyx.

"W..where's Amber?" she asks wearily. "A..and where are we?"

The air smelled clean not contaminated, and the sky was blue?

Green nature surrounded us, and beyond were what appeared to be large buildings. Birds fluttered through the air, and creatures of all shapes and sizes rustled in the undergrowth.

None of us ever seen, so much life in one place.

And the people, oh my god so many people, almost too many to count. The sun shone, something none of us have ever experienced before.

I ask Nyx, amazed, "Where the h1ll are we?" She shakes her head, uncertain.

"Clearly that wormhole took us to a strange location. Right now though, we have to find A-"

"Guys, GUYS over here!" We whip around, and there laying under a tree, was Amber.

We run to her hastily. "Where are we?" she asks. Nyx glances around warily. "This doesn't look like Earth, it's too healthy."

We sit beside her, contemplating our surroundings.

I break the silence. "Guys, clearly we were brought somewhere, so I think our first step should be to figure out WHERE we are." Nyx whips around, glaring at me, her eyes chips of ice.

"You're the one to talk, if it weren't for you, we'd be safe back at the lab in our cells right now!"

Amber's eyes round worriedly. "Nyx, let's not try to put the blame on anyone. I know, you're right, but Talia has a point. Instead of arguing we should figure out how to get back."

Nyx rolls her eyes, grumbling.

Amber keeps going. "But, are we sure we want to go back, I mean look at this place, it's so.......GREEN."

True to her word, it was very green. And there was so much life. Nothing like Earth. The virus killed so many living things. It'd be rare to see some sparse shrubbery even now and then.

We hear footsteps, and turn around to see a young man approaching us.

Nyx stands up in front of us, and shoots glares like daggers at him.

He throws his hands up, backing off. "Chill, you guys just looked lost, and I came to see if I could help. You guy's good?"

"Mind your own business." Nyx growls.

He rolls his eyes, and walks the other way, while mumbling, "Narcissist."

"Nyx, we could've got useful information out of him!" Amber protests from the ground.

Nyx sits down tiredly. "Guy's, we don't know who we can trust here, best to stay alert."

Silence.

"What's that?" I ask, pointing to something on the ground, right where the man was just standing. Nyx grabs it, gazing at it peculiarly.

"It looks like some sort of technology?"

I gasp. "If that's a piece of unknown technology, maybe that wormhole took us to the future. Wow, Earth sure looks healthier!"

Excitement fizzes over Nyx's face, but quickly leaves. "No, it's impossible, I don't know where that thing took us, but we couldn't have traveled through time."

"Then do you think we're on a different planet?" Amber asks, uncertainly.

Nyx doesn't answer but continues to gaze at the object.

She swipes its small screen and squints her eyes at it.

Her face pales, her eyes widening, as she lets out a silent scream.

"What is it?" I ask, alarmed.

She turns the screen so it's facing me, and Amber.

We're all frozen in horror, as we read the top of it.
