The air was cold and silent. He felt her there, she wasn't in the carriage anymore she was outside and he felt her lingering gaze on him, staring. He wished she hadn't seen him murder those creatures like a senseless beast but he knew she didn't. Her presence, her scent he knew it all to well, It was like he had spent a million years in a locked up room with her that it felt like her air was all to similar it clouded his mind, his vision his body.

He had never met her before now, not even a picture and immediately he saw her it was like he forgot to breathe. Like she was the only one there and the forest and the carriage had disappeared, like she was his source of life and if she wasn't near him he would surely die. The fear in her eyes didn't pass his vision and no matter how much he wished and wanted to hate her, disdain her it was like his mind was doing  the exact opposite.

It was silent, dead silent. Not a word from her lips, It was awkward but all the same it felt right. "I told you to stay in the carriage", he finally spoke breaking the awkwardness. She didn't respond, not a word just silence, like she couldn't bring herself to talk. It felt like she wasn't there but he knew she was. He turned his head swiftly looking at her. She looked frozen in thoughts, looking at him so interestingly, like she was drinking him in, like she couldn't get enough of him. Like if she looked away he would disappear. Then she slipped into unconscious. He went to her with inhumane speed to stop her head from hitting the ground, his hands in between her soft fiery red hair. Shit! He forgot about his eyes.

He carried her into the carriage and put his cloak on her. The carriage wouldn't be able to move since the wooden structure holding the wheels had broke. He had no other choice but to run. It wasn't like there was anything wrong with running if anything it was an advantage as they would reach the royal castle faster the only problem was the weather and the person who would be carrying won't be able to withstand the cold. He still had no other choice so he put her on his back and took off.

♚♚♚♚

Hours of running in a slow pace in order to make sure the unconscious princess he was carrying wouldn't  feel the cold air around her he had finally reached the castle. He took her towards his room and called for the maids. "Make sure she has a hot bath", He spoke to them before walking out of the room towards the throne room.

Entering into the throne room and seeing someone he hadn't been expecting standing there as if he was waiting for him. His right  hand man Sebastian there sitting with smug smirk on his face.

"Why are u here?", He said filling a glass with a red substance many people would guess blood while taking a seat.

"Nothing, just came to see check if u were back, you know u were gone all of a sudden", Sebastien said while smiling.

"Then why are you smiling like a child who just got sweets"

"Its just that i don't understand you Ren, You do not come to the wedding when you clearly weren't busy."

"Cause I felt like it".

"You do know you not coming to the wedding put her life in danger"

"So? i got there in time didn't I? and plus its my wife so mind you fucking business"

"Fine God, always getting angry at me for no reason", he raised his hand in mock surrender.

"By the way how did you know she was in danger though?"

"I just knew why do you want to know how i knew?"

"Sure... I think u went to the wedding and u trailed her on the way here, am I right or am I right?"

"Leave me alone and stop being annoying"

"Fine! maybe you should go check on your wife its you wedding night after all", Sebastien said winking at him.

"She is asleep, now stop pestering me ", he replied back. He walked out the room leaving Sebastien there. Sebastien was starting to get on his nerves maybe he should just send him away so he could finally live his live in peace.

He ascended up to his chambers and saw her sleeping on the bed, her red hair sprawled against the pillow and her lips slightly parted. He never imagined getting married to someone of her species, but here he was. He took of his shirt and laid down beside her, her scent still lingering in his mind and he knew he wouldn't be able to get rid of that. Soon enough drifting into sleep.

Whew Finally done editing. This chapter took longer to update and u guys  might be thinking why its very short and that's the problem. It was short but the concept behind it wasn't and I didn't want to add other things because it might affect the other chapters, yep now I know that i just put myself in a situation because I am very stupid like that. Also I couldn't save it for some reason so while in the middle of editing I had to publish bc then it would erase. Soo guys I decided not to edit it anymore, I will still edit but maybe like after i finish the book. Still gonna edit this chapter though because it is very very very ugly very terrible and disgusting also very short. I don't want to stop the progress of the book by focusing on editing instead of updating. Sorry I am making you go through the trauma of reading most of the terrible chapters if not all.
