The Royal Exchange

Why?

I went back to the chambers. WHO THE HELL DID HE THINK HE IS. Telling me i cant fight even my dad didn't stop me from flighting. I took the book i was reading before, sat down on the window still and continue reading. But i was angry so nothing i was reading wasn't registering.

Soon after i heard footsteps in the room and turned around only to see Azaren in the room. When did he even enter?

Time stopped as we both gazed into each other eyes.

His face was cold an expressionless as always.

Then he began to walk towards me. I honestly didn't know what to do so my body froze. His steps were light yet heavy and his gaze remained the same.

"I have a question for you", I blurted out before he could get any closer

"Hmm?"

"Why didn't you come?"

"Come to what?", He knew damn well what i was talking about he just wanted me to say it!

"The...wedding?", I hesitated

His expression then changed cold and not the cold that he normally had this was different.

"Cause i was busy"

"Hmm"

He then moved towards me and put his hand on the wall leaving me literally trapped.

"Are you upset?"

"Upset why would i be I don't care if u didn't come or not"

"Hmm"

Who does he think he is 'Are you upset'? Ofc i was upset I was more than upset i was angry. I didn't want to get married yet i did and on my wedding day the groom didn't even show up. Like he was the only one who didn't want this marriage. 

His hand came to my face. I was shocked

"Wh-what are you doing?"

"Wait "

He then removed something from my hair. a leaf. Green and it wasnt green like other leaves it was green like this different type of green that could be withered.

"Hmm like your eyes", He said and then began to walk out of the room.

"Wait"

He turned around glancing at me.

"In the forest your eyes... they were red?"

"I don't know what you are talking about". He said swiftly he didn't even change his expression and his eyes still carried those coldness in them, i didn't want to believe him but i found myself doing so.

"What about those things"

"What things?" He answered with a question. God he is annoying.

"I don't know what they were but i heard something, they were creatures maybe Did u fight them by yourself?"

"You have a wild imagination cause there was nothing" 

"Then why did you tell me to stay in the carriage?", I said with a knowing smirk, he cant take me for a fool.

"Because of i heard something?"

"Oh i see lying to your wife i thought marriage was about trust" I said teasingly

"Well i am not lying"

The maids walked into the room giggling and led me to the washroom. Then changed me into a night wear if that's what you could call it it was so revealing if not for the robe It would be like i was wearing nothing and then they gave me this 'tea' to help with the pain.

Oh no no no if they thought for a second that i was going to sleep with that man they must be crazy like no eww. I know this whole marriage purpose was to have children 'for the sake of our kingdoms' but i cant even and i don't think he wants it too. 

I don't want to come out the room, because i know he is gonna be in there. WHYYY WHY WAS MY LIFE SO DIFFICULT.  I gathered my courage and walked out the room. He was facing the window but immediately i stepped back he turned his back and looked at me head to toe.

He let out this stupid chuckle i wanted to scream like heck this was uncomfortable and he was laughing.

"I.."

"I.."

We both said at the same time.

"You go first", he said

"I.. um.. we don't have to consummate the marriage"

"consummate the marriage..", he repeated. I hate it when he did that. "Isn't that the purpose of our marriage?".

I just looked at him in shock what the hell did he mean  by that.

"What?"

"I said isn't that why we are married?"

"But..." I didn't even know what to say i was shocked like i wanted him to say no and here he was.

"After marriage what do married people do? they sleep together and what are we married am i wrong?"

"But its arranged!" Every word he kept saying made me feel dumb 

"Ok and what is the reason for this arranged marriage"

"Well i know that but still"

"I am listening" 

"I  don't want to sleep with you!" 

"I  mean we didn't also want to marry each other but here we are, and sooner or later its gonna happen"

"This conversation is making me uncomfortable"

He let out another chuckle. He is taking this as a joke. I don't want to lose my virginity to someone i don't love i rather die. 

"You in that  dress is making me uncomfortable"  I just looked at him with shock how could it just say that. Didn't this man have any ounce of shame?

"I am going to bed"

"Fine with me"

He walked out of the room and a part of me wanted him to stay. a very tiny part.

I grabbed my book and continue reading, but my mind kept wondering to Azaren. Where did he go? Did he go to another woman to satisfy his needs? Not like i care he can do whatever he want. Soon later he barged into the room.

"I thought you were going to bed"

"Well i changed my mind"

"mm"

He went over to the other side of the bed and took of his shirt leaving me shirtless and he had the perfect physique my eyes wandered around him shamelessly. His broad shoulders and perfect abs.

"You can stop staring"

"I WASN'T"

I dropped my book and decided to head to bed. This marriage was going to be a long one.
