Seeing Hitsugaya suddenly unleash his Bankai, Yu Mikami was taken aback. Without Resurrección, Yu Mikami wouldn't be a match for Hitsugaya's Bankai. He hadn't anticipated provoking Hitsugaya into disregarding Seireitei protocol to release his Bankai...
"Hmph~ Yu Mikami, you thought I wouldn't dare to use Bankai, so you've been acting fearless, right? Let me tell you, this is outside Seireitei..."
As if sensing Yu Mikami's surprise, Hitsugaya coldly addressed him. With Bankai activated, a pair of ice dragon wings appeared behind Hitsugaya, wiping away his earlier disheveled appearance!
"Damn it!"
Yu Mikami cursed under his breath, realizing that Hitsugaya had the upper hand. Taking a quick look around, he noticed they were indeed outside Seireitei's gates!
"Hmph~ What's so impressive about a half-baked Bankai!"
Although caught off guard, Yu Mikami retorted defiantly to Hitsugaya!
"So... powerful..."
Though now completely subdued by Hitsugaya's Reiatsu, Jidanbō was secretly impressed by Yu Mikami's courage to still defy Hitsugaya!
"Hmph~ I'll make you understand the consequences of arrogance!"
Hearing Yu Mikami call his Bankai half-baked, Hitsugaya was infuriated, hating when others pointed out his incomplete mastery of Bankai!
With a swoosh, Hitsugaya's figure vanished, reappearing instantly in front of Yu Mikami, striking with his blade!
"Lightning Slash!"
Yu Mikami reacted quickly, raising his sword to block Hitsugaya's attack!
Boom—the two Zanpakutō collided, neither getting knocked away, locked in a tense standoff! Yu Mikami grinned, "Heh, I said it's half-baked, and it really isn't much..."
"Hmph~ I'll make you regret saying that!"
Hitsugaya snorted angrily, then stopped arguing with Yu Mikami. He leaped back, raised Hyōrinmaru high, and slashed it down toward Yu Mikami!
A blue pillar of ice descended from the sky, crashing down toward Yu Mikami. If it hit, Yu Mikami would be instantly frozen!
"Hmph~" Yu Mikami snorted softly, quickly dodging to the side, causing Hitsugaya's attack to miss its mark!
Yet, waiting for Yu Mikami was a barrage of ice pillars from Hitsugaya, forcing him into a continuous evasive dance!
"Damn! If I could use Resurrección, Hitsugaya would be in real trouble!"
While dodging, Yu Mikami cursed inwardly. But this also served as a reminder that if he intended to blend into the Soul Society, he couldn't rely on Resurrección. Yu Mikami needed to develop other abilities!
"Why do I have to figure out my Shikai techniques myself? It'd be nice if I could just use Getsuga Tenshō like Ichigo!"
He thought, feeling a bit frustrated.
"Wait... Getsuga Tenshō... Of course! I could try condensing my dark red lightning into a blade and releasing it. How did I not think of this before..."
Dodging another ice pillar, Yu Mikami felt a surge of inspiration and couldn't help but feel pleased.
Poof—With another ice pillar crashing down, Yu Mikami suddenly realized he was completely encircled by ice!
"Yu Mikami! Let's see how you dodge this time..."
Hitsugaya, with his ice dragon wings spread, flew above and looked down on the trapped Yu Mikami, sneering coldly!
