“Yes! I’m here! And I am gonna creep your brains out! AWOOO! Be scared! I am the wicked vengeful ghost!” – someone shouted back while doing this weird zombie-like walk.
“Are you trying to scare me?” I asked.
“Trying to scare you?! OF COURSE! Wait…. Did you just ask me that?” she replied.
“Yes. I believe so.” I replied.
“OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! You can see me?! OH MY GOD!” she said and then started laughing and jumping around. “Oh, wait. You’re a ghost? Great. I’ve finally found a nice dark place but it’s inhabited with a ghost. A very peculiar ghost who likes screaming. Jumping and saying weird things.” I said. “How can you see me?” she asked. “I’m a half-vampire/half-witch. We’re both supernatural.” I answered.
“Oh my God! I am so sorry about how I acted; I’m not really this weird. It’s just that, it’s been 2 years since I last talked to someone. That was before I died!” she said.
“What are you doing here anyway? Aren’t you supposed to be beyond, God knows where?” I asked. “My portal isn’t here yet, meaning to say that I still have to face the things that I left before I died.” She answered. “So why are you here? In this room?” I asked. “I don’t wanna go outside, it makes me sad to see people moving around not even able to see or sense me. Plus, this is where I died, 2 years ago. I was finishing up my homework when one of my classmates went back inside our classroom. I didn’t mind him but then he tried to get a hold of me and tried to stab me, but I fought. She pushed me away and so I told him that I would tell everyone what he tried to do and make him pay for it, but then he punched my stomach and used his scarf to strangle me to death instead.” She said. “That’s tragic. Did you avenge yourself for what he did?” I asked.
“I tried but I was blocked from having any sort of connection, I can’t even get close to him, and my powers get nullified. Plus, even if I get close enough, how will I kill him and take revenge? All I can do is flicker lights and make bulbs explode. The next 3 days after the incident he disappeared. No one knew what happened. Not even me.” She explained. “I humbly apologize for your mishaps.” I said. I then walked out of the room and started walking away from that room.
“Wait. Where are you going?” she asked.
“Away.” I replied,
“You can’t leave me here. I’m coming with you!” she said while still walking alongside me.
“Why are you still wasting your time here in this place? You’re a ghost, you can teleport into some place nice, how about Paris? London? Don’t you want that?” I asked her.
“I can but I can’t. You see, I’ve tried but when I imagined going to Paris or London or wherever it is, I end up in the wrong places. You see, my imagination doesn’t work that well. That’s why I can’t leave unless I’m walking.” She explained.
“So you’re a useless ghost?” I meanly said.
“I wouldn’t say that I’m useless. You see the good old light flickering thing still creeps the crap out of people.” She said. “That’d be helpful, you can flicker them to death.” I quickly replied. “Okay, please let me come with you. I have no more friends and I feel like I am left alone there, sleeping the entire time. Not knowing when I can get out of it! Now’s my chance, please, help me.” She begged. “Fine. But you must know, I am not just a normal person.” I said. “THANK YOU SO MUCH! If I could hug you right now, I would but I can’t since I’m just gonna go through you or I might possess you.” She said. “Oh, you can’t possess me don’t worry. A part of me is witch or wizard, so I am immuned to possession.” I explained.
