First day at work

I woke up in the morning as I was supposed to go to my first time job, I was nervous on what if I mess it all up then I'll lose the only opportunity I had to show my parents I can be responsible. I knew they told me to not stress myself it's okay if I don't find a good job now but I just wanted to find it and have something on my own, like salary I wouldn't be asking them I need this and that. I woke up and took a bath on the earliest when I was done I got a call from Otis.

Otis: I was with you the whole time and you didn't feel a need to let me know they called? I mean sorry but what you taking me for?
Me: i just woke up when would I have told you?
Otis: Lea told me yesterday but you couldn't?
Me: she's too much I wanted to call you this morning, are you taking me?
Otis: I'll wait for you to tell me then for now we'll act like we didn't have this conversation
Me: Otis wait
Otis: (cutting the call)

Otis was always childish about everything, I knew he wouldn't budge if I didn't call again so I called him after finishing dressing up

Me: hey Otis, you awake?
Otis: yes I just woke up what's up bestie?
Me: you see the job I went to an interview for? They called me yesterday I couldn't believe it, and I'm going there today I'm so nervous
Otis: omg really? You should have called yesterday though
Me: I know, but the way I was tired I went straight to sleep because I was tired I didn't think I'll fall asleep so early
Otis: oh it's okay I'm happy for you, you want me to drop you off?
Me: please, like I'm scared if I do something stupid on my first time
Otis: you won't, I'll take bath and be there in a minute.
Me: you have so much drama bro what was hard in saying all that in the first call
Otis: you're the one who should have called me and tell me about your job, I can't believe you have a job now. But tell me something how are you doing?
Me: im fine why?
Otis: it's almost 2 months without Casey
Me: but why did you think about her ?
Otis: you haven't spoke about her since the day you said she was following you somehow
Me: Lol I thought by time I'll get the text from her but that was the last time, she said I moved on so fast and that too with my ex meaning I never really had anything for her, and she said she'll forget me since I did the same I tried to forget her too and as much as I still see her face but it's not the same
Otis: it's fine you'll meet a new girl in your job
Me: I wish my boss was a girl then I'd fall in love with her (chuckles)
Otis: now you wanna fuck your boss already?
Me: eww gross , and my boss is some ugly Liam. He's a kid too

I pick up my handbag and everything I thought I'll need, I went downstairs but I couldn't eat even though my parents were insisting so much. After few minutes Otis was waiting for me outside then he dropped me off. It was only 20 mins from home to work. Otis packed his car on parking lot then he insisted in going with me to the reception

Me: goodmorning, I'm back
Otis: hi?
Girl at the reception: hey, you're?
Me: Amelia I came for an interview yesterday? You scared the shit out of me?
Otis: (sitting down) this place is so cool, I should apply for work here too
Me: shut up why would I work on a same place as you
Her: I forgot to introduce myself, I'm Iris Murdoch, you came on time you can go upstairs the same floor as yesterday boss isn't here yet there's a meeting
Me: meeting so early in the morning?
Iris: it's not early for you but congratulations on your new job.
Me: thanks by the way your name sounds like of a boy (going close to Otis) thanks for coming, you may go now I'll manage
Otis: can you ask for an advance payment?

Camila: morning, I see you came back afterall

Camila: let's go upstairs, you have some files you have to look at already
Me: already? I just came here
Camila: are you here to talk or to work? And didn't you say you just nervous usually you don't talk that much?
Me: let's go Camila I can't wait to see what you instored for me, I have a feeling you will be the one firing me because you don't like me
Iris: her boyfriend dropped her off and he's already talking about her first salary, he told her to ask for an advance
Camila: she hasn't even worked, how old are you?
Me: I said he was joking around
Camila: how old are you?
Me: 20
Camila: you're still a kid, tell your boyfriend I'm sure he's a kid too, tell him you can't ask for an advance so early and you haven't even started working yet
Me: eh I said he was joking what's up with you all being over serious about everything I mean I already said he's joking and he's not even my boyfriend, it's early I don't wanna fuck my mood with y'all so we better get to work (going towards the lift)

Me: are you coming or I'll have to go alone? I got a lot of work you know
