- CHAPTER 13

Clint put the child in the boarding and came to me, taking me in his arms.

"- We were supposed to live a life together, I was going to propose to him to look at the sky together. He was right. I have to stop loving people. i cry in his arms."

"- Hey, come on, let's put it in the boarding. Clint says, looking at me.
- Okay..."

I stood up and helped Clint carry Pietro, at that moment I wanted to break down crying, because I didn't want to end up like that, without Pietro.

"- Go on, stay here. I'll sort a few things out. I'll finish leaving him.
- Take care of yourself, I don't want to lose too. Says Clint as he lets me go."

I walked out of the loading dock and looked out over the city, "Where are you, you piece of shit?" I said to myself, referring to Ultron.

I began walking quietly through the city, no robots, just an empty city.

"- Finishing eight or nine? Tell me, what's the perfect time? I hummed as I walked."

I saw the Hulk in the distance destroying some objects.

"Big guy! I shouted to get his attention.
- Banner's girl! He shouted as I came towards him.
- How's it going? I asked, looking up at him.
- Hulk fine. He answered."

I waved goodbye and continued on my way, not knowing what to do or where to look.

"- Wanda. I said, starting to run."

I had no idea whether she was in one of the embarkations or still here. "Is everyone on one of the boardings except Thor and Tony?" I heard Steve ask from my earpiece.

"- I'm still here. I replied, continuing to run.
- Why are you still there? Turn around. Steve ordered.
- Steve ordered. "No! I've got to find Wanda, she won't answer me. She's out there somewhere. I can sense her. I continue, not turning back.
- Be careful, I don't want to bury anyone. He says, cutting the line."

The bit of earth that was left flying in the air began to shake, so I began to fly to avoid falling or something.

Using my powers, I tried to locate Wanda to find out where she was. "Wanda! Wanda!" I shouted for her to answer. No answer.

I flew over several destroyed and crumbling buildings. I came to a destroyed train and saw Ultron, dead on the ground. I moved towards it and saw Wanda dodging him in the air, almost unconscious.

"Dada! I shouted as I flew towards her.

I took her in my arms and held her tight so she wouldn't fly away. I got out of there and started to move away from the city, trying to find a place to board.

Unfortunately, none was there, so I turned on my earpiece to try and reach someone.

"Clint! Can you hear me? I asked, hoping he'd answer.
- Yeah, what's up? he asked.
- I've got Wanda, where's your boarding? I could never make a flight from Sokovia to New York. I laughed.
- Wait, wait, wait! I see you, I'll open the window. He said as he left for the control tray."

I saw the famous boarding gate open and I quickly saw him close the window and walk towards me.

"- Where's room for her? I asked, looking at Clint.
- Two seats for you over there. He pointed, directing me to those."

I sat down and Wanda too, I put her head on my shoulder and I put my head on hers and closed my eyes.

"- Are you in? Steve asked, starting the communication again.
- Yes, I'm in. I whispered back.
- Why are you whispering? He asked me through the earpiece.
- Wanda's asleep. I answered clearly, cutting the connection."

I tried to sleep, despite the background noise of each person who spoke, I got up gently and put Wanda's head delicately on my seat and I went towards Clint.

"- So, did we? I asked with a smile.
-Yes, we did. We succeeded. he said looking at the sky.
- Remind me that I owe you all a trip to Italy. I laugh.
- Really? I thought it was a joke that Bruce had told me. he asked.
- God, where is Bruce? I asked worried.
- Don't worry, he took the Quinjet as Hulk and Nat sent him a video to calm down and become Bruce again. He explained reassuring me.
-Okay.

I turned to him, smiling and looked at me with a smile. I felt a little worried, not wanting it all to happen again.

"- Do you think things like that will happen again? I asked a little worried.
- We just won. Enjoy it. He advised by looking at the sky again.
- Can you come with me to bury Pietro and do his funeral? It will probably be just you and me. I ask.
-Sure... I understand you want to give him a funeral, Lele. he agreed.
-I approve of the new nickname. Do I end up laughing and turning my head to the window?"

I went back to sit next to Wanda and began to fall asleep without realizing it. I did not want to have a nightmare about one particular subject: the death of Pietro.

He didn't deserve it, he sacrificed himself so that he could live an incredible life. We could live an amazing life. I already imagined buying an apartment after all this and that we would move together and also with Wanda, we would have a dog that we would maybe call Fia.

I wanted to see him again, at least once, to tell him all that was in my heart.
I wanted to be in his arms again, feel his heart beating against mine, and feel his breath in my neck.

"I miss him. I cry in my sleep."

Wanda woke up slowly and took me in her arms, at first I didn't feel it until she kissed my forehead that I regained consciousness.

"- Wanda...
-Say nothing, I'm here, lialia. She says by squeezing me harder. I know, I know."
