Back at the hotel, we were in full prep mode for the evening ahead. I slipped into a flowy dress with a soft brown and cream pattern, the straps resting on my shoulders, catching a glimpse of myself in the mirror as I adjusted it. Mira went for a casual look with her denim shorts and sleeveless top, while Nadia was fully invested in her makeup routine, her long yellow dress flowing like sunshine. The room buzzed with energy as we sang along to the music and danced, occasionally pausing to strike goofy poses in front of the mirror.

As I swiped on some lip gloss, I casually reminded them, "Oh, by the way, my friend's coming tonight. We'll meet him for dinner, okay?"

Nadia perked up immediately. "Ooh, is he cute?" she teased, batting her lashes at me.

I rolled my eyes, trying to hide a smirk. "He's way older than us—probably not what you're looking for."

Nadia just shrugged, winking playfully. "Well, it's okay if he's rich." She giggled, clearly enjoying herself.

Mira's eyes widened, her mouth dropping open in mock shock. "You naughty sneak!" she said with a laugh, nudging Nadia.

We all burst into laughter, the room filling with our excited voices and inside jokes. There was a shared thrill in the air, a sense that tonight would bring us closer and gift us another memory to carry back home.

As we finished up, a final song played, and we belted out the lyrics together, finally grabbing our bags and heading for the door.

A text popped up on my phone from Irwan, saying he was already at the beach bar. With a quick glance at the girls, I nodded, and we made our way down the sandy path from the beach. The night air was warm, and a gentle breeze played with my short hair, sending a few strands across my face. I tucked a lock behind my ear, feeling the excitement build as we got closer.

The restaurant was a perfect slice of paradise—open-air with soft sand underfoot instead of tiles, and no walls to block the starry sky. The faint sound of waves mixed with the lively music coming from inside, giving the whole place a laid-back, magical vibe.

As soon as I walked in, I spotted Irwan's familiar face, and I couldn't help but smile. He gave me a wave, but my eyes shifted to the guy next to him. He was tall, with a warm, inviting smile that lit up his face as our gazes met. I felt my own smile deepen, and he stood up to greet me.

I slid into the seat between Irwan and Adam, feeling the easy atmosphere of the night settle in. Mira and Nadia took their places beside the guys, looking as intrigued as I felt.

Irwan grinned and introduced himself, followed by his friend. "This is Adam," he said, motioning to the man beside him.

We exchanged greetings, a friendly "hello" here and there, a couple of shy smiles. There was something calming about Adam's presence—friendly and open, with a natural ease that made conversation flow effortlessly.
