Days turned into weeks, and they fell into a rhythm as natural as the waves. Some days they'd swim in the ocean until the sun set, letting the waves toss them around as they laughed, carefree and alive. Other times, they'd sit on the hill overlooking the beach, sharing snacks and talking about their dreams and fears.

One late afternoon, as the golden light bathed everything in a soft glow, Yeonjun gathered his courage. They were sitting on a sandy dune, watching the tide come in.

"Yoonni," he started, his voice barely a whisper over the sound of the waves. "This summer... it's been the best of my life."

She looked at him, a small, understanding smile on her lips. "Mine too."

He swallowed, trying to find the right words. "I... I don't know what'll happen after this. I mean, we live so far apart, and school's going to start again soon."

Yoonni reached out and took his hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. "Maybe we're not meant to know what comes next. Maybe we just have to enjoy this moment and remember it, no matter what happens."

Yeonjun felt a lump form in his throat. He'd never met anyone like her-someone who seemed to understand him in a way no one else did. He wanted to say so much, but he didn't need to. The quiet between them held all the words that couldn't be spoken.
