Khushi had arrived at the AR Designs office well before the official opening hours. The sun was still a soft orange hue, casting long shadows across the cityscape as she made her way through the entrance. The early morning air was crisp and cool, a stark contrast to the bustle she knew would envelop the building in a few hours. As she stepped inside, she couldn't help but marvel at the sheer elegance of the place. The spacious lobby, with its high ceilings and minimalist decor, spoke of understated luxury and a meticulous eye for detail.
She had deliberately chosen to arrive early. Today was her first day, and she wanted to get a feel of the environment, to understand the layout of the office that would be her new workplace. More importantly, she needed to familiarize herself with every corner of this space to execute her hidden agenda.
Dressed in a light pastel kurta with matching leggings and a pair of modest heels, Khushi had made a conscious effort to blend in while still feeling comfortable. She had taken Aman's advice to heart, ditching her beloved jootis and pom-poms for a more professional look. Her simple yet elegant attire was complemented by a structured handbag, a far cry from the cotton sling bags she usually preferred. It was a small change, but an important one—she wanted to make a good impression, even if her reasons for being here were far more complex than just securing a job. Or was that dressing which was adopted by her in last few days was just an illusion?
Walking through the expansive reception area, she admired the attention to detail. The floor was a polished marble, reflecting the warm glow of the modern chandeliers overhead. To her left, a corridor stretched out, leading to various conference rooms and what appeared to be a large auditorium. The walls were adorned with framed sketches and photographs, showcasing AR Designs' most iconic collections over the years.
On the other side, a sprawling showroom caught her attention. Although the glass doors were still closed, she could see the array of outfits displayed on the mannequins. The showroom, spread across three floors, was a testament to the brand's global appeal. From chic office wear to extravagant evening gowns, traditional Indian attire to contemporary fusion pieces, the showroom seemed to be a visual feast of fashion from around the world. Each piece was carefully curated, a blend of cultures and styles that spoke of AR's reach and influence in the fashion industry.
