The city pulsed with life, the bright lights flickering like stars in the expansive night sky. But for Shubman Gill, the brilliance outside did little to illuminate the darkness brewing within him. A star cricketer, he had everything-a flourishing career, accolades, and a fanbase that adored him. Yet, none of it held any value without Piya, his gf. She was his world, his anchor, and he was increasingly terrified of losing her.

As he paced in his dimly lit apartment, the memories of her laughter echoed in his mind, tinged with a growing sense of dread. Piya was slipping away and pulled into the orbit of Aayush, her older brother, who was becoming increasingly protective. Aayush had introduced her to Karan, a boy he believed was a better match for her. Each passing day, the sight of them together felt like a dagger to Shubman's heart, twisting deeper with every smile exchanged, every shared moment.

---

That evening, he received a call from Piya, her voice trembling through the receiver. "Shubman, can we talk? I really need to understand everything."

When they met, her eyes were clouded with uncertainty, yet there was a flicker of defiance. "Karan is a good person, Shubman. I think I should give him a chance." Her words hit him like a physical blow.

"Tumhe Karan ke saath waqt nahi guzarna chahiye," he growled, his voice dangerously low. "Mujhe tumhari zaroorat hai. Kya tum nahi samajhti?"

Piya's gaze faltered, but she didn't back down. "You don't get it! I can't just live in your shadow!" Each word dripped with pain, igniting a flame of rage within him.

Days morphed into weeks, and with each passing moment, Shubman's desperation morphed into obsession. He couldn't shake the thought of Piya with Karan. In his mind, they were stealing precious moments that belonged to him. Shubman had always been possessive, ensuring Piya remained at his side. He would cancel her plans with friends under the guise of wanting to spend time together, often pulling her away from social gatherings.

"Koi ladka tumhe aise dekh sakta hai, Piya? Main tumhe aise nahi jeene de sakta," he would say, casting a shadow over her happiness. Whenever she attempted to leave for a party or a simple outing, he would wrap her in his arms, pulling her close. "Why go out? Let's just stay in and watch a movie together," he insists, convinced he was protecting her.

Piya felt trapped between her affection for Shubman and her yearning for independence. She confided in Aayush about her fears. "Shubman's not the same anymore. I don't know how to talk to him," she lamented.

"Woh tumhe khud se door kar raha hai," Aayush warned, his voice heavy with concern. "You need to make a choice."

Shubman overheard their conversation, the burning anger within him igniting. The thought of losing Piya to Karan pushed him to the brink. He began to stalk them, watching from the shadows as Karan laughed with her, each shared glance an unbearable reminder of what he stood to lose.

---

One evening, driven by jealousy and rage, Shubman confronted Karan in a dimly lit alley. Shadows danced around them, and the air was thick with tension. Karan stood with a phone in hand, oblivious to the storm brewing within Shubman.

"What do you want, Shubman?" Karan asked, his voice steady.

"You think you can take her from me?" Shubman hissed, each word laced with venom. The jealousy that had festered for weeks erupted into a violent storm.

Karan's confusion turned to concern. "Piya deserves happiness. You're not the one for her," he said, his voice calm but firm.

Shubman's heart raced. "Tum nahi samajhte! Tum mujhe usse chhinnne nahi doge!" Rage blurred his vision as he lunged at Karan, fists flying. The fight escalated quickly, fueled by months of suppressed anger. With every punch, he felt a surge of adrenaline and a sick sense of empowerment.

But as he landed the final blow, the reality of his actions struck him like lightning. Karan crumpled to the ground, and a silence enveloped the alley, heavy and suffocating. He then not just left him , he removed each and every skin from his body , removed his nail, and tortured him very badly.

"Tum meri mohabbat se door ja rahe the, Karan. Ab koi bhi tumhe uski taraf nahi le ja sakta," he whispered, a twisted sense of satisfaction creeping into his heart as he stared at Karan's lifeless body.

---

When Piya learned of Karan's death, her world shattered. Shubman arrived at her home, masking his guilt with feigned concern. She was devastated, her eyes red and puffy from crying, her body trembling as she struggled to comprehend the loss.

"Shubman," she sobbed, her voice cracking. "Karan is gone! He was my friend! How could this happen?" Her words were daggers that pierced through his heart, yet he kept his composure, wanting to appear strong.

"Yeh sab mere wajah se hua," he thought, but he wrapped his arms around her, his heart racing as he tried to comfort her. "It's going to be okay, Piya. I'm here for you," he murmured, his voice a soft whisper.

Piya leaned into him, seeking solace in his embrace, while Shubman felt a strange mix of emotions wash over him. Guilt clashed with a sickening triumph as he held her close.

---

Days turned into weeks, and Shubman played the role of the devoted boyfriend flawlessly. He was her shoulder to cry on, whispering words of comfort while inside. He felt like a monster. Each tear shed for Karan felt like a knife twisting deeper into his already tormented soul.

One night, as Piya cried, Shubman fought against the crushing weight of his conscience. "Yeh mohabbat nahi hai, Shubman. Yeh to sirf mera nash hai," she cried, breaking down in his arms.

Her vulnerability triggered something in him, revealing the darkness he had embraced. "Main tumhe kabhi nahi chhodunga, Piya," he whispered, but there was a hint of desperation in his tone.

As Piya lay beside him, her face pale and drawn from grief, Shubman was engulfed by a sense of dread. He longed to confess, to spill the truth and ease his burden, but the thought of losing her again was unbearable.

"Maine uski mohabbat mein sab kuch kho diya. Ab kya bacha hai?" he thought, staring into the abyss he had created.

---

One stormy night, as rain lashed against the windows, Piya fell into a deep sleep, her body finally exhausted from the pain of losing Karan. Shubman sat beside her, watching her sleep, the glow from the streetlamp illuminating her face. He felt a mix of longing and sorrow, knowing he had destroyed her chance at happiness.

Suddenly, Piya stirred, her eyes fluttering open. "Shubman?" she murmured, her voice laced with confusion. "Is Karan really gone?"

He looked into her eyes, searching for the right words. "Yes, Piya. But I'm here for you. You don't need him anymore," he replied, his voice low and soothing, masking the storm within him.

Piya reached out, her fingers brushing against his cheek. "I don't know what to do without him," she confessed, her voice trembling with grief.

"Tumhe meri zaroorat hai, Piya. Main tumhare saath hoon," he whispered, leaning closer, his heart heavy with the burden of his secrets.

As he held her in his arms, the truth loomed over him like a dark cloud, suffocating his soul. He had become the monster he never wanted to be, all in the name of love.
