Your POV:
The moment we've all been waiting for. Well, almost all of us. Lewis met up with us in the line to The Devil's Flight coaster ride. "Hey, Lewis," Ashley, a blonde senior student and my classmate calls out, approaching me and my friends alongside her brunette best friend, Ashlyn. "Ah what can I do for you ladies?" Lewis ask with a huge grin on his face.
"I noticed you never claimed your prize for that weight game back there," she says, reaching into her purse to pull out a small folded piece of paper and handing it over to Lewis. Lewis unfolds the paper with Kevin and Jason peeking from over his shoulders. Whatever is written on it got him smiling from ear to ear.
"Call me sometimes," Ashley flirts, twirling the end of her hair. She and Ashlyn turns around, eyeing Ian and me. The two girls exchange looks before smirking and chuckling. I glare at them as they walk away. "Bitch," I mumble. I feel Ian's arm wrap around my waist, pulling me close enough for a physical contact. "Ignore them," he whispers in my ear. I look at him seeing an assuring smile on his face. I smile back, resting my head against his chest.
I never really liked those two. They were always walking around like they were the hottest girls in school. Unfortunately, that's just how most of the guys seen them as. They literally would do just about anything for the two snobby skanks. Hell, even the male teachers wanted a taste of them. Sick.
"Bro, you just scored Ashley Freund's number," Kevin fist bumps Lewis. "Damn. I'm almost jealous of you, man." That statement right there just earned him a punch in his ribcage by Carrie. "Ow! I said almost, babe," Kevin says, holding his side. She shakes her head, rolling her eyes.
The line starts moving. Suddenly, the gigantic devil lets out a loud sinister laugh. "You may NEVER return... from Devil's Flight'! Try not to scream!" Oh yeah. That's exactly what I need to hear before boarding a high speed roller coaster ride. I roll my eyes.
(20mins later)
My friends and I will be next to get on the ride as soon as the coaster makes it's return. I can feel my nerves kicking in. How the hell did I let my friends convince me to do this?
"Hey, you okay?" Ian ask me. "I guess I should tell you that I'm not too fond of roller coasters," I nervously chuckle. "That's just something Wendy and I happen to have in common." I nod my head towards Wendy being held and pecked on the forehead by Jason.
"Ah.... Well, at least she'll have someone special by her side," he says. I nod and smile, agreeing with him seeing how well Jason treats her. Which is why I'd be disappointed if they were to ever end their relationship. "And so will I." Hearing those words, I look at Ian. He smiles before looking away and rubbing the back of his neck, something he always do when he's clearly nervous. But did he just say that I'm special? Without actually saying it?
I look ahead, watching Jason and Wendy smile at other with both of Wendy's hands in his. Jason lean towards Wendy, whispering something in her ears as her smiles grows even bigger. He then kisses her on the lips before resting his forehead against hers. I swear, seeing how happy these two makes each other just warms my heart. Too bad I can't say the same about Kevin and Carrie who seems to be arguing at this very moment. She's probably still mad about what he said outside. I don't blame her at all.
The coaster makes it's return to the station. Finally, it's our turn. Ian catches me off guard when he grabs my hand leading me over to one of the gates in the middle of the coaster. Kevin and Carrie heads to the front with Wendy and Jason behind them.
The ride operator allows the previous riders to exit the ride before letting us on next. Ian allows me to get on first and climbs in after me. I watch as the operator walks around, helping everyone to get secured in. I kind of regret eating right before getting on. I just hope I don't end up getting sick, especially on Ian. What an embarrassment that would be.
The ride operator reaches Ian and me and gets us secured in before walking off to the next person behind us. "Ow! Yo, watch the balls," I make out Lewis' voice. I hear Ian chuckling as I just smirk.
As soon as the operator gets finish with securing everyone in, he heads back over to the operating maching preparing to start the ride. He presses the button and everyone starts cheering as the coaster begins to move. Ian grabs my hand. "I'm glad I came here with you tonight, (y/n)," he smiles. "I'm glad I came here with you too, Ian," I smile back.
The ride slowly makes it's way to the top. Looking out into the opening, I can literally see the entire park. And the people definitely do look like tiny ants from up here. The higher we get, the chillier I become. I should've worn a hoodie just in case. Oh well. The speed of the ride will give me some type of warmth.
"Here we go," I hear Ian say. I look ahead, noticing that we made it all the way to the top. Oh boy. I grab Ian's arm as he place a hand on my shaky leg. He gives it a nice, gentle rub trying to help me relax. It's helping me a little bit.
The coaster begins to drop and everyone on the ride(except for Ian) let's out a loud scream. As the ride begins to pick up speed, I can feel the wind rushing through my hair and body. Unfortunately, I can feel the food I ate earlier moving around inside my stomach. I knew it wasn't such a good idea for me to get on this ride right after eating.
