Smackdown

   The situation was tense to say the least. With Jake and Buzz glaring at each other's eyes. Jake's deep blue eyes staring into Buzz's own forest green ones. Brooklynn on the other hand was simply watching from the side, she didn't want to intervene, just in case they started to fight.
   But for the moment, the two simply seemed to glare at each other, the tension between the two was so thick, one would need a sword to even begin to cut through it.  Or at least something like a blade. 
   It was also really quiet now for some reason, as even the sounds of the nearby highway were almost silent. Even nature itself was quiet as you could hear the sound of a squeaking mouse a mile away if you listened hard enough. 
   Although Brooklynn then spoke up, hoping to ease the tension. 

   "So... Buzz, this is Jake, Jake this is Buzz." She introduced the two to each other. Hoping the two wouldn't go at each other's throats. 
   There wasn't anymore talking between the two, that is until Buzz finally seemed to relax and then spoke to Jake. 
   "Well, Jake, it's nice to meet you." Buzz then said. Although he sounded kind of nervous, if not uncomfortable to say it. 
   "Likewise." Jake replied, with a certain venom in his voice. 

   As then the two turned away from each other. With Buzz getting comfortable near Brooklynn, and away from Jake. While the latter stepped away from Buzz. Sitting down on the forest floor, but he kept his eyes focused on both Buzz and Brooklynn. 
   Like he was watching Buzz like a hawk from the corner of his eye. Brooklynn noticed him doing it, but she wasn't sure if Buzz had noticed Jake doing it or not. She kind of wanted to say something, but simply kept her mouth shut and ate in quiet. 
   There wasn't anymore talking after that. But Brooklynn could tell that Buzz looked a tad uncomfortable. She didn't know why he was, but she didn't bring it up. Maybe he had noticed Jake giving him a side-eyed glare. 

   But there was an awkward, yet strangely comforting silence as the three sat in silence for a little while. 

   Although when she looked over at Jake. He was minding his own business. But she suddenly noticed he had snatched the bag or burgers, or whatever was left of it, away from her. Using his tail to pull it close to his body. 
   As like some kind of natural who had been doing it for years, Jake managed to get the food out of the bag, or at least the remaining burgers.  

   "Hey- those were mine!" Brooklynn cut through the silence by speaking up. 
   "Can it. I payed for the food. So I'm allowed to eat some of it." Jake responded with a soft growl coming from out of his throat as he spoke.
   But Jake's head suddenly snapped over to look at Buzz, who had apparently found the situation very amusing for some reason. He was making a chuckling sound from inside his beak. Which Jake was very much unamused by as he ate the remaining burgers. 

   "Something funny, bird brain?" Jake questioned, a very apparent tone of annoyance in his voice as he spoke. 
   "Hm? Oh, dude, I was just laughing about how annoyed you got with your buddy." Buzz replied. His voice sounding like one of those typical stoners, and he drug out the word 'dude' plenty. 
   "I'm glad you find this so amusing." Jake growled out in response. 
   "Oh it very much is. Especially since Veloci didn't mention you were such a jerk to your friends." Buzz responded. Apparently letting the word 'Veloci' fly freely. 

   Which seemed to grab Jake's attention as his gaze narrowed instantly and he stood up onto his feet. Like the word Veloci had either scared him or angered him. 
   "So Veloci sent you did he? Still too chicken to come out and get me himself?" Jake answered. His voice a growl as he took a step forward towards Buzz. 

   Although Brooklynn was confused as to who they were talking about. So she didn't do anything but rather simply just remained where she was sitting. Rather just observing the situation then participating in it. 
   But Buzz didn't seem too panicked about the whole ordeal. Simply getting up and stretching his wings. As he then spoke again. 
   "Oh he isn't after you anymore." Buzz replied. "Your old news, Olivo. He pretty much said to kill you if we ever encountered you while on the hunt."
