Sebastien grabs her by the arm, leading her down a long hallway until he reaches a familiar door.
Sebastien didn't release his hold until they were both locked in one of the club's private rooms. Only then did his heart rate start to steady, though his mind was anything but calm. Malaya yanked herself out of his grasp, stumbling back a step as she adjusted her dress—a move that only drew his attention to the sliver of bare thigh now exposed. His gaze darkened, instinct taking over.
She planted her hands on her hips, her chest rising and falling with quick breaths. The defiant spark in her eyes only fueled the intensity building inside him. Her words sliced through the thick silence, demanding, "What was that, Sebastien? Why did you drag me in here?"
He closed the distance between them in an instant, his hand finding the curve of her waist, pulling her close. Malaya's body melted against his, and he felt her resistance slip for a brief, telling moment. His mouth descended on hers in a fierce, unrestrained kiss, claiming her lips with a desperation he hadn't anticipated. It was animalistic, primal—more than he could control. Their kiss spiraled, consuming them both until they had to break apart, gasping for air.
As their breaths mingled, Malaya took a shaky step back, struggling to regain her composure. Sebastien's chest rose and fell, his hands aching to pull her back to him. She shook her head slightly, one hand coming up, pressing firmly against his chest—a feeble attempt to halt the magnetic pull between them. Her fingertips dug into his pecs, her strength surprising him.
"No, Sebastien." Her voice was low, but firm, her words a direct command that threw him off balance. He froze, surprised by her resolve, feeling a surge of something—pride, admiration, desire—that only intensified his need for her.
With his momentary stillness, she moved her hands to his shoulders, and, to his surprise, guided him back toward the plush bed against the wall. The sheer audacity made him chuckle, but the tension in his muscles eased as he let her push him down. The mattress gave under his weight, and he propped himself up on his elbows, watching her as she climbed onto his lap. The heat of her thighs pressing against him sent his blood roaring.
She was stunning, her hair slightly mussed, lips swollen from their kiss, and eyes blazing with a fire that matched his own. As she straddled him, her grip tightened on his wrists, pinning them to the mattress with a strength that surprised him. He could have easily overpowered her, and they both knew it—but something in him surrendered to the thrill of her command.
Malaya leaned closer, her gaze roaming over his face, as if seeing him fully for the first time. He saw her struggle to control the rush of emotions flickering in her eyes—pride, vulnerability, defiance. When she leaned down, the faint scent of her perfume mixed with her own unique warmth, and he inhaled, his senses overwhelmed. Her soft skin brushed his as she settled against him, and he could feel her heart racing.
They were caught in a tense standoff, his desire building with each second, yet balanced by her presence, her strength. For once, Sebastien found himself waiting, watching her every move, resisting the urge to flip her beneath him and take what he wanted.
Her gaze dropped to his lips, her breath catching before she spoke in a whisper that left him spellbound. "You're not as in control as you think, Sebastien."
When he tried to pull her close, his hands moving down her hips, she seized his wrists and pinned them to the bed. Her strength surprised him, though he could easily overpower her if he chose. The confidence in her hold, the way she held herself over him, was mesmerizing. He could feel her breathing quicken, her body poised over him in a way that only fueled his need for her.
A sharp knock on the door broke the moment.
"Everything okay in there?" Jack's voice filtered through the door, his tone half-amused, half-concerned.
Sebastien growled, not taking his eyes off Malaya, "Yes. We're fine."
Malaya gave him a triumphant smile, her eyes sparkling. She knew exactly what she was doing, and it was driving him mad. She leaned down, her face close to his, her voice low. "Fine isn't exactly how I'd describe it."
Sebastien's lips twisted into a smirk, eyes blazing. "Don't push me, Malaya," he murmured, his voice laced with warning. But she just laughed softly, her victory solidified—for now.
