The Bakery 8:00 PM

Marinette paced back and forth; she was thinking about all the past events that happened in the past few hours.

"Humans are always so peculiar; I never did understand why they paced back and forth." Tiki snorted.

Marinette could not believe that a weird hamster thing was speaking to her. She sighed. "What are you? And why is this happening? AND WHY ME!" Marinette was surprised at herself; she has never lashed out.

Tiki let her take a breather before saying, "I know this can be hard to understand, and I'll walk you through every step of it." She looked firmly at Marinette. "Are you ready?"

Marinette nodded. "First of all, I'm a Kwami. I already told you that, I'm a sort of magical being created to keep balance in this world. I have the power of creation. I created the jewelry that can hold my powers. I wanted to let humans be able to protect each other by using my powers. Obviously they can't be godlike so these earrings limit my power enough to not cause mass chaos. You, Marinette Dupain-Cheng, have been chosen after looking through an extensive list of candidates. You were chosen because of your quick thinking skills, the want to always do good. your academic smarts, your athleticism, your maturity, and lastly, your ability to handle stress. These things have all been tested throughout the years." Tiki said to the distressed Marinette sitting up on her bed.

"Y-years?? H-how? Why would you start or even think to look for me? And why would you choose a teen of all people, why did you even start looking?"

Marinette's questions couldn't fully be answered, but Tiki tried her best. "Well, a while back, we lost a jewelry piece that has the ability to transform people into a soldier for the holder. All this person has to do is convince them. We didn't know in what hands it fell, but we know it's recently been activated. We took our time trying to find the perfect candidates to be the holder of the miraculous creation. Honestly, we didn't know how long it would take for it to activate again and most of my adult candidates just didn't cut it." Tiki sighs after her rant. "Anyway, we need someone young and ready for action. And that's when we started to look at you. Perfect grades, a long history of gymnastics, and of volunteering every weekend at the animal shelter."

Marinette looked shocked, she had told no one about that, she had made sure it was a place outside of her remote area. "It feels kind of like I was stalked."

Tiki giggled "Please don't take it the wrong way, we just wanted to make sure that we had the perfect candidate."

Marinette looked at the floating creature, it felt like a bad dream. "Well, Tiki, I don't want to do this. I don't want to have the pressure of Paris on my shoulders. I want to just live a normal life where someday I might become a fashion designer or maybe not. Maybe I'll live a nice life in some sort of flower shop or something..." Marinette looked defeated. "Tiki, please, let me just sleep it over.."

Tiki nodded and took a rest on the shelf above her bed. It had a small teddy bear that worked as her bed.

The Agreste Mansion

"OH MY STARS! I cannot believe that just happened, I was flying through the streets of Paris! I've never felt so free" Adrien jumped with joy in his room as Plag rolled his eyes and sighed.

"Do you have ANYTHING in this room to eat?" Adrien looked at him in confusion

"I didn't know weird sentient beings needed to eat."

Plag laughed at his genuine confusion which made Adrien a little embarrassed "Okay then, what would you like to eat? I'm sort of rich so order anything you like"

Plag flew around with joy. "Man, I knew choosing you would be good! I want camembert cheese. The older the better!"

Adrien's ears perked up "You chose me, for what exactly and how?" Adrien asked as he put in a delivery order for the black-cats request.
