29. Countertop

Zade's POV

"Fatass." I hear someone whisper in my ear. I crack open my eyes to see Miles standing above me. I groan and roll over to my stomach. "What Milestone?" I question, face smushed into my bed spread.

"Dude, stop calling me that." He whines, jumping on my bed next to me. "Why are you here so early?" I groan again. "It's  moving day sweetie." I roll back to my back and sit up. "God I forgot. Is Lani awake?" I question grabbing my wife beater I threw on the floor last night before bed.

"Yea she's down stairs eating breakfast with your mom and Bella." Miles replies also getting up. We both walk down stairs to see the girls, Caylie, and Derek all sitting at the dining table. "Rise and shine princess." Lani says getting up from the table and wrapping her arms around my neck.

I bend down and kiss her, earning a scream from Bella. "Ewww. Lani, he has cooties!" She screams causing us to laugh. "Bella, no screaming this early." Mom said, slightly groaning. "What time is it anyway?" I ask guiding us back over to the table. "4:30 am." Caylie groans as well.

Well isn't everyone a lively bunch this morning? We all eat our eggs and bacon in silence, besides Bella. She was yapping off Derek and Miles' ears. She's sad they're moving to. Both boys got accepted into Georgia as well which is the best thing that could have happened to us.

Lani was so sad thinking she would miss the twins' birth but those jackasses were keeping it a secret that they got into GSU. Of course Cay is doing online so she can be full time with the babies. Lani is so excited to be an aunt. It makes me want to have a baby just to see her as excited to have our own baby.

We finish up eating breakfast and load the last of our things into my truck. Lani's car is being shipped with all of her clothes later today. She has like 20 million boxes. Why does one person need this many clothes is beyond me.

We say our goodbyes to my mom and Bella. They both were crying along with Lani but it was happy tears at least. I know Lani is dreading leaving Atlas behind. Our complex wouldn't allow dogs and it was the closest apartment to campus and most affordable.

We climb into the truck around 5:15 and start our 8 hour drive. As soon as we get on the road Lani's out.

Leilani's POV

5 hours later:

I'm being shaken awake from the best dream I've ever had. I had just given birth to a baby girl and Zade is doing skin to skin contact. He had the biggest smile on his face, a smile I've never seen before. When I open my eyes I see his beautiful face.

"Good morning handsome." He jokes. I know he's getting me back for calling him princess this morning. I let out a laugh before stretching and jumping out of his truck, with his help of course.

"Where are we? And what time is it?" I ask walking into a maverick, ready to pee and eat. "We amore mio are in Nashville. And it's 10:17." (My love) He kisses my forehead. "God I love when you talk Italian, it's so sexy." I say smacking his butt. He lunges forward causing me to laugh.

"Hey! Don't touch my butt." He yells right as we walk into the store, causing everyone to turn and look at us. We both laugh before heading to the bathrooms.

When I walk out he's waiting for me. I feel like I was transported in time to when he was waiting for me outside of Miles bathroom the first night we hung out. When I get to him he kisses my forehead and we go and get our snacks.

I pick out dynamites, berry nerd gummy clusters, and make my signature drink. Dr Pepper with sweet cream and raspberry syrup. Z gets a Gatorade and seasoned pumpkin seeds like a weirdo.
