The bald worker, Mike, had been working up on the second floor for the last thirty to forty minutes. He was calmly sweeping a broom back and forth as he tried to buy some time for those girls to be done and out of here. The place was disgusting and needed major bombing for extermination of a rat takeover. He had a pair of black headphones over his ears as metal music blasted through it, causing him to not hear any commotion that had been going on ever since he left to wander to the second story. He was so engrossed in what he was doing that it was impossible to hear the older woman approaching him from behind. When he turned around, he nearly had the heart attack, his hand clutching his uniform covered chest as he stared at her with a 'Jesus Christ' escaping past his lips. He slipped the headphones down to rest on his neck.
"Can you help me, please?" The woman begged as she tugged on the end of his sleeve. She had brownish grey hair that was straightened and her body was covered in some very ripped and dirty clothes.
He huffed. "Who are you? How the hell did you get in here?" He demanded as he eyed her in slight disbelief. This was supposed to be an easy job and it was turning into a goddamn nightmare.
She frowned with worried eyes. "You have to come with me now. There's a dead woman in your basement" The words sent a spike of annoyance through him.
Mike just wanted to fucking do his job, get his pay, and go the hell home to his solitude where he had enough booze to drown out everything else. This was ridiculous. These pranks are getting out of hand.
"What?" He asked her with a soft sigh.
She nodded rapidly. "Yes. Dead, all dead. He's killing them one by one, like cows" She grew hysteric as she tried to tug on his sleeve once again. "There is one left...another girl...he will kill her too if you aren't fast enough" She added.
He pinched the bridge of his nose before starting to direct her back towards the glass door. "Look, lady. If you don't go away right now, i'm gonna call the cops" He warned.
She nodded again. "Yes, that's what I've been saying. You need to call the police right away because he's right downstairs and he's probably going to kill you, too, if you don't get somebody down here right away!" She ranted but he had absolutely no idea what she was talking about.
He's been here all night and he hasn't seen any guys that weren't his co-workers wandering around menacingly killing anyone. The only people he saw in here were those two girls and they probably left by now.
