The next day, you had gone over to the hideout to see if anyone was there, but you only ran into Jack. He seemed to be staring off to the distance outside. Jack was more on the quiet and reserved side compared to your other friends. Sometimes you worry about what's going through his head since he never really talk about his feelings. You walked up to the tall blonde and placed a hand on his shoulder. Jack looked at you as you smiled at him.
"Hey Jack, what are you doing out here by yourself?"
"Just thinking..." Jack turned back to looking out in the distance.
You let out a hmm and looked out in the distance as well. There was a comfortable silence between the two of you. While you don't mind running around with the kids or planning something fun with Crow, it's nice to have a bit a piece of quiet with Jack or Yusei. Though when you two did talk, you always felt lighter after.
"You know, I have an extra ramen cup that has your name on it." You grinned at him.
Jack turned to you with his purple eyes sparkling. You couldn't help but to laugh at his expression. There were only a hand full of things that could make the great Jack Atlas's face light up. Jack scoffed and turned away to hide the blush on his cheeks.
"Sorry, sorry, but I wasn't lying when I said I'll give you a cup." You wiped a small tear from your eye.
"You should keep it for yourself. You don't always have to give stuff away to people."
"But I'm not just giving it away, I'm giving it to my friend. Who's eyes just sparkle at the mention of cup ramen." You teased.
Suddenly Jack pulled on your cheek with an annoyed expression. Pulling your cheeks or squeezing them was Jack's way of either getting your attention or to make you stop teasing him. Though it wasn't hard, your cheeks still hurt nonetheless.
"Ow! Ow! Ow! Okay, I'll stop!" You cried.
Jack let go of your cheek. You rubbed the sore spot with a pout. Jack stared at you before turning away again.
"Thanks..."
You grinned at him. Jack looked back at the distance in front of you two. The only sound you could hear was the wind and the crash of the waves from the ocean. While the sky was almost always gloomy in Satellite, you learned to make the most of it with the friends that you have.
"What about you?" Jack suddenly asked. "What's on your mind?"
"How did you know I was thinking about something?"
"You're not that much of an airhead as you look."
"What does that mean?!" You gasped at him, while he smirked.
"Well if you must know...I just hope that kid from Team Black n' Blue is doing okay. He's way too young to be a leader and way too sweet." You admitted.
"Age doesn't matter in the dueling world. It's all about how good you are. But no matter what, I never plan on losing...to anyone." Jack stated.
"Then the dueling world better watch out! Cause Jack Atlas is in town!" You laughed.
Jack chuckled slightly. People have said that his attitude is too prideful and egotistic, but not you. You would call him out if he was being too cocky, however. That's one of the things he truly liked about you. You were always straight with people without being rude.
"Well" You stretched your arms. "It was nice chatting to ya Jack, but I better go make sure the kiddies aren't causing any trouble."
"Alright, I'll see you later." Jack pats your head.
