No ones POV

His touch is gentle, a subtle plea for forgiveness for his earlier teasing. Craig silently berates himself for potentially ruining the moment they had shared.

Craig's heart sinks a little at Tweek's continued silence. He moves his hand to rub Tweek's back in a soothing gesture, hoping to coax him out of his mood. and then he started to tell a story.

Craig: "Once upon a time... there was a boy... a star boy.."

Craig begins his story with a soft, almost gentle tone, attempting to bridge the gap created by his earlier jest. He continues, weaving together a tale that's a mix of imagination and reassurance as he rubs Tweek's back.

The story Craig spins is simple yet comforting, filled with the kind of magic and wonder that children's tales are known for. As he speaks, his hand continues its slow, gentle motions on Tweek's back, a silent apology for his earlier insensitivity.

Craig: "He was different from every human. He was bright and shine brighter than the sun."

Craig's voice grows warmer, more invested in the narrative he's weaving for Tweek. He continues his tale, describing the uniqueness of the star boy, his brightness, and luminescence that surpassed even the sun's brilliance.

Craig: "But of course he was lonely. Every star around his galaxy was annoyed by his nonsense about connecting with humans and that they aren't dangerous creatures, but the stars never listened.."

A hint of sadness tinges Craig's voice as he continues, painting a picture of the star boy's longing for connection with the creatures called humans, though his own kind fails to understand or accept his views.

Craig: "One day he was doing his task, being brighter than the sun and flying in the galaxy until he saw in the long distance a human about to be jumped by a couple of bad men.."

Craig continues his narration, detailing the star boy's internal struggle, his desire to help the human he has observed yet the unfamiliarity with navigating human conflicts. However, his need to see the good in humans wins over, leading him to intervene.

Craig: "So he then quickly swoosh down there and then saved the human as the men ran away."

Craig's voice builds tension as the star boy courageously takes a stand for the human he had spotted in trouble, demonstrating the kindness and bravery that defines the cosmic being. He saves the human from the danger, his actions driven by his belief in the goodness of humans despite his star family's skepticism.

Craig: "The human was surprised and thanked him and then -"

Snores

Craig's narration is cut short when he hears a soft yet telling sound coming from Tweek - a snore. He glances down at Tweek, finding that he had drifted off to sleep in the midst of his story.

(No more spoilers for the next book, thank you, tweek, for cutting the story short so no one will know what happened next 😊)

A mixture of surprise and affection washes over Craig as he gazes at Tweek, asleep and oblivious to the unfinished tale. The gentle rise and fall of Tweek's chest, combined with the soft sound of his snore, create a tableau of endearing vulnerability.

Craig can't help but smile at the sight. He gently brushes a strand of hair away from Tweek's face, his touch light and tender. He marvels at the profound trust that Tweek must have, falling asleep so serenely while draped over him.

The mood in the carriage feels different now, the quiet of Tweek's sleep creating a peaceful atmosphere. Craig, now alone with his thoughts and the sleeping form of his friend, continues the silent ritual of running his hand up and down Tweek's back, the touch both grounding and soothing.
