Narrator

The sun cast a warm, comforting beam over your skin as it peeked through the (color) curtains hanging on your egress window. You could imagine how the dirt outside felt as tiny bits of cold sensations left the tips of your fingers the same way it thawed the ground.

Your eyebrows were knit together as you sat at the edge of your bed and stared at the text you recently received from Natasha. Every once in a while she would invite you out to the base they were still head-quartering in for some sparring but it had been a while since you were invited. You were sure this would be that but it wasn't.

'Don't go adventuring today.'

The message was bland and demanding but at this point you knew better than to question her. It felt like she was warning you of something and your stomach swirled with excitement. You turned your phone off and slid it into your pocket before stepping onto the carpet/hardwood floor.

You walked over to a large closet and peeled your clothes from your body, discarding them into the basket quickly. You looked through your clothes before deciding, as usual, to put on one of Peter's old sweatshirts. You yanked the hood over your head and threaded your arms through the sleeves before finding the closest pair of (pants) and doing the same with your legs.

You waltzed from the closet and to the door, pulling it open and climbing the steps casually.

"Well, look who finally got up." Tony smirked as you reached the top.

"It's only noon." You grumbled and looked around as he and Pepper were standing in the kitchen alone. "Where's Mo?"

"She's playing outside." Pepper spoke up as she opened the fridge. "Could you watch her while we make some lunch?"

"Of course." You grinned and turned around quickly.

"Bracelet?" Tony asked quickly, as to which you shot up your (dominant) hand and shook it so that the protective jewelry shimmered obviously. "Good."

"Great." You rolled your eyes as you walked out of the wide open front door.

You spotted Morgan sitting at her little wooden table beside a small tent, placed neatly between a few trees.

"Hey, Mo!" You greeted as you made your way over.

"(Nickname)!" She cheered and stood up. "What are you doing?"

"Can I come sit out here with you for a bit?" You asked as she sat back down to play with mini action figures.

"Yea." She answered before disappearing into her fantasy world of Hulk Hogan VS. He-Man. You couldn't help but grin at her choice of toy before reaching above your head and grasping a tree branch.

You made your way up the tree and sprawled out across the perfect limb before pulling out your phone. Morgan played on the ground beneath you as she made Hulk Hogan absolutely demolish his opponent.

"To be the man, you gotta beat the man!" She mocked Hogan and hammered He-Man into the dirt.

"You tell him, sister!" You laughed and scrolled mindlessly through your extremely anonymous social media accounts.

"You mean brother!" She mocked him again but fell into a pool of laughter with you. You snapped a cute picture of her before she darted into her tent to continue her games. You changed your lock screen from her baby picture to the one you just took and smiled gratefully.

It was more than evident how much Tony needed and loved Morgan. He had become such an amazing father- something you had never expected of him. He was incredible at putting someone else before himself and all it took was a daughter. He was more understanding now and although there is a tinge of sadness permanent in his eyes, he was lighter in his soul.
