Taehyung sat at his desk, his mind still preoccupied with thoughts of Jennie. Today's meeting had been a blur, his focus slipping as he replayed the events of the morning over and over again in his head.

The sound of his phone buzzing tore him from his thoughts, and he looked down to see a new message from Irene.

Taehyung picked up his phone, his heart beating a little faster as he saw Irene's name on the screen. He swiped open the message, bracing himself for what might be on the other end.

Irene: "Can I come by your office? We need to talk."

Taehyung sighed as he read Irene's message. He had completely forgotten about the party they were supposed to attend tonight, and now he was going to have to explain his interaction with Jennie to her.

He replied with a simple "Yes, come by." before setting the phone back on his desk and leaning back in his chair, feeling a headache forming.

A few minutes later, there was a soft knock on Taehyung's office door, followed by the sound of it opening and Irene walking in.

Irene leaned against the desk, looking at Taehyung intently. "So, about the party.." she began, her voice holding a hint of trepidation.

Taehyung nodded, bracing himself for the conversation that was about to unfold. "Right... the party," he echoed, his mind still preoccupied with his thoughts about Jennie.
Taehyung fidgeted uncomfortably in his seat as he looked up at Irene. He couldn't understand why she would suggest inviting Jennie.

"Why Jennie?" he repeated, his voice a mix of confusion and frustration. "Why would you want to invite her?"
Irene tilted her head slightly, a small frown forming on her face as she replied.

"Well, I figured since you know her and you've been talking to her about business stuff, it would be nice to invite her. It'd be a nice gesture, especially since you guys have been collaborating on this project, and she is my best friend " she said, her tone a bit defensive.
Taehyung let out a sigh, realizing he was outnumbered in this decision.

"Fine," he relented, his voice a tad reluctant. "We can invite Jennie. But I won't be responsible for how she reacts."
Taehyung muttered the last part under his breath, knowing that Jennie's reaction would likely be far from friendly. He hoped that the social setting and Irene's presence would at least minimize any open hostility from Jennie's end.
Irene pulled out her phone and quickly dialed Jennie's number. She held the phone to her ear, waiting for Jennie to pick up.

A few moments later, Jennie's voice came through the phone line, answering the call.
Jennie was engrossed in her work, trying to focus but finding her mind keeps wandering to thoughts of Taehyung and the events of the morning.

Her phone rang, jolting her out of her reverie. She picked it up and saw Irene's name on the screen, causing a wave of mixed emotions to wash over her.
Despite the anger still simmering beneath the surface, Jennie forced herself to speak in a casual tone. She didn't want Irene to notice the extent of her irritation and ask questions.

"What's up?" Jennie asked, hoping her voice sounded nonchalant and unbothered.
Jennie knew Irene was innocent in Taehyung's deception of her, and there was no need to project her anger onto her. It was Taehyung who had been lying to both of them.
With that in mind, Jennie softened her tone a bit more.

Irene:"I called you to invite to a Larry tonight. You should come it's been a while since we catch up taehyung and his friends are there too".

The mentioning of taehyung's name send jolt and irritation to her shivers..

Jennie:"Irene you know I have works to do I want to meet jisoo too."

Irene:" you can invite your other friends too come at 7."

Jennie:" I'll think about it Irene"

Irene continued, her tone cheerful and persuasive.

"And there will be loads of guys looking to talk to a cute girl like you! You might just meet someone better than your current crush," she teased.

"WTF is Irene talking about boys to her"
Taehyung internally cursed, his mind racing. The thought of Jennie being swarmed by guys at the party made his heart clench. He knew it was immature and irrational, but he couldn't help the pang of jealousy that coursed through him.

Irene continued on the phone, her words cutting through Taehyung's thoughts.

"And get this - I heard that Jungkook will be there too! You can have fun with him."

Taehyung's jaw tightened at the mention of Jungkook's name.
He can't help eventhough jungkook is his best buddy he can't the mere thinking of Jennie with him having fun with him its irritates him more than he think.

"Alright, fine," Jennie replied, her tone still somewhat reluctant. "I'll go to the party."

Taehyung felt a mixture of relief and anxiety as he heard Jennie's agreement. While he was happy that she would be there, he was also worried about how the evening would unfold.

Irene ended the call with a happy "Great! See you there!", and Taehyung let out the breath he didn't realize he was holding.

As Irene returned to her desk, she smiled at Taehyung. "She's coming," she announced, clearly pleased with herself.

Irene walked up to Taehyung's desk, leaned down, and planted a light kiss on his cheek. "I'll see you tonight," she said with a smile, before returning to her own work. Taehyung:"bye Irene see you tonight." said with a forced smile

Taehyung sat there, his heart pounding in his chest. Just the thought of seeing Jennie again was enough to make his pulse quicken.

Taehyung knew he couldn't let Jennie go to the party without at least trying to talk to her beforehand. Deciding to act on a moment of courage, he picked up his phone and scrolled to Jennie's number.

He hovered over the call button, taking a deep breath before tapping it.
Jennie was still at her office, trying to finish some work before the party, when her phone rang. She glanced at the screen and saw Taehyung's name flashing across it.

Confusion and annoyance instantly flickered across her face. Why was he calling me.

Jennie sighed and hit the answer button. She brought the phone to her ear and spoke, her tone guarded and wary.

"What do you want?"

Taehyung's voice came through the phone, laced with a hint of urgency.

"Can we meet? There's something I need to talk to you about before the party."

Jennie's mind was racing, her emotions tangled and conflicted. On the one hand, she wanted to refuse, to avoid dealing with Taehyung and the confusion and hurt he had caused her.

But deep down, there was a tiny flicker of curiosity and desire to understand what he wanted to say. After a moment of internal struggle, she replied, her voice guarded.

"I'm busy. Can't it wait until later?"

Taehyung's voice replied through the phone, firm and pleading.

"Please. It's important. I can come to your office. I need to talk to you before the party."
Jennie hesitated, her heart fluttering at the thought of seeing Taehyung again so soon. But she finally relented, her voice a mixture of resignation and curiosity.

"Fine. Come by my office. But make it quick."

With that she hangs the call. Taehyung on the other hand took his keys and went out of the office . And drive his car off to Jane enterprises
