Chapter 4: Xion

Alan's POV

I slowly open my eyes as my vision was blurry. i blink several times to readjust my site, trying to figure out where i was. i tried to move but felt something holding my arms, legs, even my forehead. it felt like i was on some table or chair laying down. What the hell was going on?! i grunted as i tried to get out of the restraints but to no avail and i still felt weak and hurt from the attack from that corrupter.

"you're awake." i heard Eve's voice before she walked over to where i could see her and she didn't seem in a friendly mood.

"Eve? what's going on? why am i like this?!" I asked.

"you're in no position to ask questions after we know who you really are. when were you made by mother-sphere?" she sneered. what the hell was she talking about?

"made?! i was born!" i gaped at her. "I'm no damn android!"

"you think you're human?" Eve asked as i sense confusion in her voice.

"i am human!!" i lashed out at her which caught Eve off guard for a split second. She and i stared at each other briefly before she looked over to the side.

"lily." she said as i felt the chair raise my upper body slightly then heard some typing of a keyboard before the restraint on my forehead was released. I notice Eve looking down at my chest. i followed her eyes and what i saw put me on edge!

My chest was exposed as i saw metal frame which were my lungs and some weird pump where my heart was suppose to be! i saw some other mechanical things i didn't recognize along with some flesh intertwine with the metal. this couldn't be real! this is fake! i start to panic as i fought in the restraints.

"WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME?!" i screamed as i heard something beeping constantly.

"his vitals are spiking!" lily gasped as she came over. "Alan relax! please try and relax!" but i was so worked up it was hard to focus as eve and lily put a hand on each of my arms, telling me over and over to relax and take deep breaths. it wasn't easy, now knowing i wasn't freaking human at all! after several minutes i was able to focus on my breathing but not daring to look at my chest again.

"i'll ask again, when were you made by mother-sphere?" Eve asked.

"i was born! 25 years ago. i was raised how to survive and live off the wastelands of that city."

"by who?" lily asked. i closed my eyes as i couldn't reveal raven's name.

"doesn't matter. they died four years ago." i lied.

"Care to explain the andro-edios parts in your body then?" Eve asked as i opened my eyes to feel her cold stare as i gritted my teeth.

"how the hell should i know?! why don't you tell me since you know more about this!" i snapped at her.

"you were made by mother-sphere to be sent here to try and kill lily and myself since we deceived her. you failed."

"you're out of your damn mind. if i wanted you and lily killed; i would of done it by now." i growled. Eve didn't like that retort at all as her eyes narrowed on me.

"Eve. i need to talk to you. outside." lily cut in as she eyed between her friend and myself as if she could feel the tension in the air. Sighing, Eve nodded as i watched them both leave through a door. as i looked around, i notice i was on their ship. I'm not human...what the hell is going to happen to me?

Lily's POV

We step off the tetrapod and sat by the workbench as Eve crossed her arms.

"I'm very confused by him. he really thought he was human after all this time." she shook her head.
