Chapter 2

At the front porch, Jimmy and his friends watched as Hannah pushed the door of the Spook House open. Jimmy nudged Bert as he snickered.

Jimmy: Watch! The baby will turn and run.

Hannah, ignoring Jimmy, gulped as she stepped inside, cautiously casting her flashlight's light around.

Bert: Now what, Jimmy? Your little cousin just went into the Spook House.

Jimmy: Hmm, I guess we'll just have to scare her ourselves. Follow my lead.

So the four went inside. Jimmy looked worried as he went near Hannah and pointed to the curtains.

Bert: Hannah, look! The owner's ghost, over there!

She shined her flashlight at the curtains with the shadow of a scary ghost floating among them, with Hannah unaware that the shadow was coming from Jimmy performing a hand shadow puppet, and making a ghoulish noise.

"Ghost": Leave your candy!

Behind her was Daryl doing the ghost's voice.

Daryl: (as the ghost) It's your only hope!

Hannah's lip quivered in fear.

Bert: I think I hear a skeleton rattling in the closet!

She turned her flashlight in the direction of the closet door, with the shadow of a skeleton rattling and laughing ghoulishly, thanks to Jimmy's hand shadow puppetry.

Katie: Do you hear that witch laughing?

Katie: Do you hear that witch laughing?

Hannah shined her flashlight where the fireplace was with Jimmy's hand shadow forming the silouhette of a wicked witch laughing, with the laughter provided by Katie's voice.

Jimmy: Or the werewolf howl?

His hand then made the shadow of a werewolf howling, with the howl also provided by his voice. Hannah screamed in fright while Jimmy pushed her up ahead.

Jimmy: You better hurry, Hannah! Get to the basement and throw some candy down there!

Hannah: (worriedly) O-o-okay, Jimmy.

She went to the basement door as the four older kids tiptoed to the front door.

Jimmy: (calling) We'll be right behind you!

Once at the basement door, she opened it straight up and closed her eyes as she chucked some of her candy down the stairs. Opening one eye, she saw no monsters and felt a bit relieved, until she saw that the older kids were no longer there.

Hannah: Jimmy? Katie? Anyone?

Filled with fear, she ran to the door screaming and tried all she could to open the door with her might, but it was stuck. This was because on the other end, Jimmy was holding the doorknob tight, making it so the door was closed on the inside. The other three kids were snickering while Jimmy shushed them.

Inside, Hannah gave up and slid against the door. Overtaken by her fear, the lonely little girl put her hands over her eyes and began to sob.

Suddenly, in the center of the room, a bright light appeared from nowhere and a witch's conical hat with green and purple stripes magically appeared, spinning around, before suddenly a bright flash appeared and out from the hat popped a tall, lanky woman posing with a grin. She had white pale skin, orange curly hair, purple eyes, pointy nose, and dark red lipstick. She wore a long black dress with tutu, leggings with green and purple stripes, and high-heeled black buckled shoes, with a golden ting of a wolf with blue gems for the eyes. Accompanying the witch was a ghostly cat with glowing yellow eyes.
