Chapter II: Unknown Number

Lhiavian's Pov,

I could feel Everyone's eyes on me as I started presenting my proposal, even though I avoided Dimitri's eyes to ease my nerves I still could feel his those Golden orbs burning holes at the back of my head

"..And in conclusion I think the sales would skyrocket at least 60% than the previous month" and then I ended my presentation and slightly bowed my head while holding my breath waiting for their final verdict

"very well said Ms.Solei" said Mr.Léclair, he said i few words regarding with my proposal while still pointing out some possibilities.. in the end he was still very pleased

Thank god, I can't be an empty tin in front of this guy.. I was able to breathe after hearing their approval

Mr. Léclair clapped his hands together with the others as I ended my presentation while Dimitri on the other hand just pursed his lips together while resting his chin on his hands that was sitting at the top of the table

I admit, he still looks good despite his sour attitude and everyone would probably be adamant if I'll refuse to admit

"Well the sole reason why I gathered the best employees aside from discovering new brains for the growth of my company is for my son.."

"The person who will be selected will be my son's assistant as I will be stepping down from my position" the room is suddenly filled with whispers because this is definitely a news to everyone, Mr. Léclair does't even look that old, he still looks great and young but then I guess it must be because he just wanted to enjoy life and his riches

"We both agreed that, that would be Mr.Adams and Ms. Solei" Tiff and the other employees congratulated me as well as Adams

I was beyond delighted after hearing the results, a smile slowly crept on my face with the thought that I'll probably get a raise or an incentive big enough to cover my expenses

"As the new CEO of this company it's probably best to introduce yourself to them Dimitri, especially to these two.." my eyes grew wide open while Mr.Léclair is pointing at me and adams

how come I haven't thought that he's the son of Mr. Léclair?!..Maybe I'm not that smart after all, my smile that was plastered earlier was shortly replaced with disappointment after what I heard

I glanced at Dimitri while he got up from his chair, he stood tall and firm while giving the whole room a glance..

"I'll keep it short, I'm Dimitri Lucian Léclair and I'll be the new head of this company.." he said then turned his gaze gradually towards me
".. and I hope that we get along" his gaze is starting to make me so uncomfortable, he was probably laughing inside his head while making it a point of how stupid I was at doing what I did earlier

I felt my face flushing stained with red.. this was so embarrassing

how come I didn't know and why didn't tiff even bother to tell me?! this is so absurd, I probably should start scrolling on social media like everyone so I wouldn't come across on scenarios like this...

After the meeting tiff dropped me off feeling exhausted, the only thing that I would love is to have a nice bath and sleep.. I'll probably just order food online and rot in my bed while binge watching the episodes I missed on my favorite series

After sometime the food arrived, I opened the door to pay for my food and as I was about to close the door I noticed a man standing at the end of the hallway

I was freaked out and shut the door as fast as my heart beats, I was probably just Imagining it.. am i?

I just grabbed my phone to turned on the music on my Spotify and clicked on the worship song playlist, while I prepared my food

The thought of the man standing in my hallway just keeps on bugging me, he also kinda looks familiar almost as eerie as the guy whom I saw at the front of the building yesterday.. am i being hunted?

"You're crazy Liv" I spoke out loud to myself, I just turned on the TV and plopped my self on my bed while munching my sorrows away

"Aww.." I blurted out referring to my stupid screen

I probably look stupid smiling ear to ear from what I was watching, oh I miss the feeling of being in love.. I thought to myself, I was so into the movie when suddenly my phone got a notification

Says the message that I got from an unknown number

I felt a thump inside my chest as my hands began to sweat

Who are you asshole?! I replied, but got no response

I called tiff immediately but she wasn't answering her phone, I'll just tell her tomorrow she was probably just busy

I tried ignoring the message that I just received but in the end I decided pull an all nighter and just watched some movies while drinking my coffee to help me stay awake.

I'm worried about what might happen to me if I fell asleep, I felt unsafe and uneasy from the thought that I was being watched.

Half way through the movie I got a message from tiff

"Hey are you alright?, I fell asleep earlier" She texted

"Yeah, I'm fine.. although I received a message from an unknown number saying that I was being watched and it keeps on bothering me so I'm staying up" I replied

"I think we got the same message Liv, I just saw it" I gasped

"Should we stay together for the time being?" she was probably frightened, and knowing tiff she a hundred percent reacted way worse than I did

"My place?" I agreed with her
