Yerin slumped over the counter just barely stopping herself from sleeping as rains in heaven played in the backround. It's soft melody casting a spell on her which left her even more tired.
The soft feeling in the area was abruptly stopped by a sudden slam of a door. Yerin shot her head up slightly confused and irritated as she saw someone hurriedly enter in.
She laid her head in her palms cocking her head to the side which indicated to the red door of a storage behind her.She knew who he was, well not really she just knew his job and she also knew he was running from a group of sasaengs.
The man had quickly opened the door bowing slightly in appreciation of her gesture. Yerin knew they had it tough and with everything she hears, it was obvious they were treated badly so just helping them with little things like this was nice.
This was a monthly occurrence for her and she had gotten used to it. She wasn't idol crazy like most people she knew, she still enjoyed their songs but not as much as kpop fans should.
She straightened her back and fiddled with her pen, waiting for the people he was running away from. Whenever she had an idol run into her shop, she'd either had to raise her voice at the sasaengs or just pretend the shop was closed.
But unfortunately tonight she was lazy and she really did not want to walk a few steps just to lock the door and turn off the sign so tonight she'd have to use her voice.
Tapping away to the melody, she waited for a bit until a group of teenage girls shoved themselves into the shop. Rolling her eyes, she just sat there waiting for them to speak.
They had tried to act like they were buying some stuff, but she knew of their plan and she really just wanted to get it over and done with especially as it was close to closing time.
"You need help looking for something?" They're eyes shot to her, they looked a bit scared as if she knew of their ulterior motives.
"Have you seen a guy around here? He has like black hair and a mask and he was like this high." She put her hand a few inches over her head, obviously describing the idol in her storage.
"Nope." She popped the p, praying they got the message and would just leave she was sick of this and she knew the idol was sick of being trapped in there.
"Are you sure? He was just around here somewhere." She started looking underneath chairs as if someone as big as him could be somewhere that small.
"I said no if you could just leave right now that'd be great." She grew tired with ever second they were there and knowing she needed a lot of energy just to push these stubborn kids out was hard work already.
"She's so hostile he's obviously here." The girl in the front leading the group of girls said with a know-it-all tone.
"Yeah, everyone look around the area." The girl beside her ordered her friends to look around the area just for him which was just so stupid because if they did find him what would they possibly do? They could get sued for this stuff.
" Keep looking for him fine, as if could fit in between the shelves you were looking through" She ran her fingers through her head mentally cussing out the idol for choosing this cafe to make chaos in.
After a few minutes of sighing and eye rolling, they decided to leave thinking he wasn't there after they looked through every nook and cranny in the store.
She slammed the door shut and turned around the sign in relief and started picking up the stuff they through onto the floor in result of the searching.
As she went to pick up the vase they threw onto the floor, a hand just brushed over hers grabbing the pieces before she could.
"Don't want you hurting yourself now, do we?" His soft yet rough voice sent the hairs on the back of her head to spring ho
She looked up and into his eyes just realising she forgot that a whole idol was in her storage. Clicking her tongue she got up and went to take the other things off the floor.
"I just wanted to say thank you for that" He said in a raspy tone, probably from the result of a long studio recording and no breaks.
"The doors that way." She pointed over her shoulders at the door, not bothered to muster enough strength to face his way and walk him there.
She really didn't mean to be rude, she just wasn't bothered enough and it was just a small thing so she didn't see how they could be thankful over that.
"Bye miss." He carefully closed the door behind him and left feeling grateful and tired. He was so sure he'd be in big trouble without her.
Yerin stalked over to the counter dusting the debris that was left there until she saw a small peice of sheet that had writing on the back.
'thank you for helping me
-lee haechan'She furrowed her eyebrows and turned the sheet around scoffing as she realised he signed her a photocard of him.
"He gave me a fucking photocard" She said partly amused with how egotistical he was and she was just glad that this was a onetime thing and she would never have to see him again.
She sat back onto her chair vibing to the song as she awaited for the next customers to come in. The whole ordeal just replaying in her mind every single second as she wrote down some of the items that were broken.
