31st December 1971
New Year's Day was amazing. James, Sirius and Remus decided to stay at Hogwarts for the Christmas holidays. This was because James' parents were old, powerful, but old so it was difficult for them. Sirius hated his family - end of story. Remus said it was best for him to stay. But Peter went back without question.
James, Sirius and Remus were walking to the New Years party when Sirius noticed something.
"Hey Remus, your arms look hairy than usual" Remus looked down and it looked like he had a heart attack, he ran off as quick as possible.
"What's up with him?" James asked.
"Dunno" Sirius replied "lets leave him to it" and they carried on walking to the party. There was about 50 kids there - everyone who had stayed. James and Sirius, who weren't ones for sticking to rules, started flicking girls skirts up with the charm they learnt in their first lesson. Unfortunately one turned round and smacked James right in he face.
They went to the hospital wing and James was forced to stay their for the night, well, not really. He told Sirius to go fetch a package from under his bed.
When Sirius was back, James ripped it open. It was a cloak.
"What in the name of Merlin is that?" Sirius asked.
"Invisibility cloak" James replied "Descended down my family for generations."
"That's cool James, but what are we going to do with it?"
James nodded to the Hufflepuff boy - the one that was talking about the Astronomy tower. Sirius understood instantly.
James, Sirius and the Hufflepuff boy - who was named Louis, walked up to the Astronomy Tower, invisible.
"So what's up there?" Sirius asked
"You'll see" he said nervously.
When they got to the top they saw a sign on the door saying 'out of bounds'. They carried on walking up the stairs. At the top there was an enormous bogey green troll, at least 7 foot tall.
James, Sirius and Louis all got out their wands, and took of the cloak. But, they were to slow, Louis got bashed of the tower, and was holding in the the railing, drenched in blood.
"James get Louis! I can do this" Sirius ordered."vHe remembered the one spell that he remembered "Expelliarmus!" it backfired, but he was caught by a teacher, he did a very complex hex.
"Professor Dumbledore?" said Sirius stepping away from him.
"Uh..um..." added a tired James, whom had just pulled up Louis.
"I'm sorry!" cried a blood covered Louis.
But to their surprise he smiled. "You have some explaining to do."
