As the night wore on, Justice and Selene’s connection deepened. They shared stories, laughter, and stolen glances that hinted at something more. Justice could feel the chemistry crackling between them, an undeniable attraction that drove him to pursue her further.

“Tell me, Justice,” Selene said, her tone teasing. “What is it you truly seek in this world?”

He leaned closer, lowering his voice to a conspiratorial whisper. “Power, wealth, and perhaps a few beautiful women along the way. But above all, I want to be remembered.”

She raised an eyebrow, intrigued. “Remembered for what? For your charm or your battles?”

“Both,” he replied, a confident grin spreading across his face. “But I want to be a legend—someone whose name is spoken in awe and reverence.”

Selene studied him, her expression thoughtful. “And what if you fail? What if you become just another forgotten name?”

Justice shrugged, unfazed. “Then I’ll go down swinging. But I refuse to be ordinary.”

Selene smiled, a glimmer of admiration in her eyes. “You certainly have a way with words. But words alone won’t make you a legend.”

He smirked, sensing the challenge. “Then perhaps it’s time to prove myself.”

With that, Justice leaned back in his chair, his mind racing with possibilities. He needed to create a moment that would solidify his status in Selene’s eyes, a moment that would make her see him as more than just a charming rogue.

As the night deepened, he devised a plan. “Selene, how about a little adventure? I’ve heard rumors of a threat lurking near the edge of the forest. Perhaps we could investigate?”

Her eyes sparkled with intrigue. “You want us to face danger together?”

“Why not?” he replied, his voice smooth. “It could be fun, and I promise to keep you safe.”

Selene bit her lip, contemplating the proposition. “I suppose it could be an interesting change of pace.”

Justice grinned, sensing her excitement. “Great! Let’s find out what lies beyond the village.”

They set off into the night, the moon illuminating their path. As they walked, Justice felt a thrill of exhilaration. This was his chance to show Selene his true strength, to prove that he was more than just a charming conman.

As they ventured deeper into the woods, the atmosphere shifted. The sounds of the village faded away, replaced by the rustling of leaves and the distant calls of nocturnal creatures. Justice could feel the energy of the forest surrounding them, a reminder of the power he had harnessed during his years of training.

Suddenly, a rustle in the bushes caught his attention. He paused, instinctively reaching for the Star Cutter at his side. “Stay close,” he whispered, his heart racing with anticipation.

Selene’s eyes widened, but she nodded, her expression one of determination. “I’m ready.”
