I wondered if this was a bad idea. Maybe I should be the one fighting myself, at least we would be an even match and maybe I could hold out long enough for Shadow to take down Gabriel. But too late now, I hit Gabriel in the chest or tried to. He blocked it with his insufferable fan and quickly charged me aiming his fan at my torso. I sidestepped and he barely missed me. I made a shield out of my yoyo, debating before, I jumped out of the way of Shadowmoth's attack, this time he was aiming for my arm and called a phrase I never thought I would ever utter. "Lucky Charm!"
In a flash of red light, a peacock pin falls and I manage to catch it. I don't have time to come up with a plan however, because Shadowmoth with an almost confident look on his face attacked me with a fury of swipes. I managed to put the peacock pin on before Shadowmoth hit me with such force that I was launched backward, I hit the stair case and the wall cracked. I felt stunned, the pain was minimal like I'd landed on my back weird of the trampoline, nothing like I was expecting,
It must be the suit. I thought before I realized I had dropped the ladybug yoyo. I tossed my hand to my side for the bees top but Shadowmoth was fast. He had me hogtied in my own yoyo before I could even touch the top. I struggled against the bonds,
"You put up quite a fight." Shadowmoth said leaning down and reaching for my earrings.
"Shadow!" I said my voice rose in fear, as I thrashed against the ropes holding me in place.
Thwack! Shadow noir had come out of nowhere and hit Shadowmoth in the chest launching him away. Shadow noir quickly untied me and went back to fighting... well me. My vision flashed into black and white, red and black spots highlighting, Shadow noir, the peacock pin, which I had in my hand, and the sentimonster. I understood at once,
"Why didn't I think of that before?" I grumbled, before I put the peacock pin on my chest and quickly made a connection to Shadow noir, I felt his exasperation at being interrupted,
"This will be quick I promise, I need you to get the sentimonster me, to me. I have a plan." Shadow didn't say anything in response but I knew I could trust him. I ducked under Shadowmoth's fan and backed away trying to get closer to Shadow noir. Shadowmoth didn't seem to notice what I was doing, till I was back to back with Shadow noir.
"Can you hold them?" I asked. "I need some time to get ready."
Shadow noir nodded and swung his staff at the incoming Butterfly themed sentimonster.
I grabbed both my top and my yoyo, Shadow noir was holding both villains at bay, but I knew he wouldn't last forever.
I made sure that my yoyo and top were draped over one of the support beams before I gave the warning,
"Now!" I ordered. Shadow noir jumped out of the way as my top and yoyo came at the surprised villain duo. They wrapped around their chests and I pulled both up so that they were hanging from the ceiling. I was straining to keep both of them suspended but I think I could hold it for a little bit, Shadowmoth and the sentimonster were struggling against me, and I dug my feet into the ground to keep my balance.
"Shadow noir try to locate the amuck, and if it is close enough. Bring it to me to purify."
Shadow nodded and retracted his staff; he closed his eyes and seemed to focus, his eyes snapped open. "I know where it is, it's close should I get it?"
"Yes, but do it quickly I don't think I can hold them for much longer." I grit out, my arms burned from strain.
Shadowmoth was struggling harder than the sentimonster was; it appeared to be more beat up than Shadowmoth.
"Why aren't you transforming back?" Shadowmoth demanded derailing my thoughts.
"What?" I said in confusion.
"It's been almost eight minutes since you've used your lucky charm, why haven't you transformed back yet." Shadowmoth said impatiently.
"Oh, I got rid of the timer." I said smugly.
I don't think Shadowmoth was expecting that. That was when Shadow noir returned he was holding a tablet. The sentimonster me stopped struggling and had turned pale.
"Should I break it?" Shadow asked.
I should have said yes but I couldn't. "No," I released the Purple Lady, she stumbled. I only now realized how bad that name was, Mariposa, butterfly in Spanish was better. Yes that was my new name.
"What are you doing?" Shadow noir demanded.
I have no idea I thought. Instead I took the tablet, and stepped forward I offered it to the other me. She gaped at me,
"Go ahead and take it. I'm not going to order you around like Shadowmoth. You can make your own choices."
She grabbed the tablet, and placed it on her back. "Thank you." She whispered.
Shadowmoth broke free of my hold as he landed he stood at ready. Shadow noir and I got ready too, I was surprised when I saw Mariposa, join us.
"You're outnumbered and over powered, surrender." Mariposa said, cane at the ready.
Shadowmoth growled, "I release you from existence."
"NO!" I screamed, as the amuck left the tablet and the sentimonster disappeared.
I attacked him, punching and kicking, he stumbled back under my full fury. Shadow noir backed out of our way.
I would love to sting him and get this over with, but because of the Ladybug situation that would have been a bad idea. I kicked Shadowmoth hard in the gut; he stumbled back enough for me to wrap him tightly in my top's string. I grabbed the peacock pin, and ripped it off. Gabriel detransformed and I stepped back breathing heavily.
Shadow noir was staring at Mr. Agreste who was livid, "You don't know what you're doing. I need my miraculous to save my wife."
I froze, from where I was going to get one of the Agreste's phones.
"You know where she is?" I asked.
Gabriel didn't answer, but the look on his face told me everything I needed to know. I continued before I stopped and turned to Shadow noir,
"I have no need for your assistance, would you like me to release your akuma?"
Shadow noir nodded.
I copied the instructions Nooroo had given me and the akuma came fluttering out of his staff. It fluttered over to me where it landed on my shoulder, Cat noir was in his regular outfit again.
"Would you call the police please?" I asked Cat noir.
He nodded and left towards the kitchens.
"Now, I need to deal with you." I said softly to the akuma.
It flapped its wings and fluttered away, I grabbed my yoyo. I opened the top and caught the butterfly, when I reopened the yoyo a pure white butterfly came fluttering out.
"Thank you for your help." I said as it flew away.
"Now for this," I said grabbing the peacock pin from my chest. I felt a sort of giddy tingle as I threw the pin in the air and called,
"Miraculous Ladybug!"
The pin split into millions ladybugs and they flew around the room, fixing the damage our fight had caused.
Once the ladybugs subsided I realized that it would also get rid of the venom on Ladybug.
"Tikki, Pollen divide." I said. Forgetting that Gabriel was still there I removed the ladybug and bee miraculous and handed them to their respected kwami's.
"Give them back to Ladybug. Tell her everything that happened, but I'm going to let her and Cat noir deal with Gabriel." I said.
The kwamis nodded and flew away. I turned to the table and took out a pad and paper and wrote a quick note to Cat noir, and placed it where he would see it, before I left the mansion. I got to the end of the block before a couple police cars with lights not on, passed me. I relaxed Gabriel was off to jail, and everything was in order. At least for the time being.
