You leaned your head on the door to Grillbys diner. It's been a long day for you. Helping everyone out. Like helping Toriel and Asgore with some Marrrige counseling, helping Alphys put some finishing touches on Mettaton's new suit, taking some cooking classes for....Papyrus.

He has been acting fairly odd the last couple days. His bright, innocent nature seemed to be dulling by the second. He seemed more irritated at everything. Frustrated and it wasn't normal for the bright skeleton.

You haven't been able to find Sans since he and Frisk went off on some date for her birthday. Multiple times you were calling him, But nobody seemed to have the time to pick the phone up.

So, just to cross off the list of places to look for the older skeleton, Grillbys diner was next.

You opened the door as heat rushed over your body. A sigh of comfort left your body as you walked in. The smell of food invaded nose as the soft jazz music played over the restaurant. It was a Saturday so everyone seemed to be out enjoying themselves, unlike you. You frowned at the thought as you made your way towards the bar, looking everywhere for the familiar skeleton.

Frustration seemed to enter your soul as you let out a slight growl, not seeing him anywhere. "Goddamn it Sans."

You sighed as you took a seat at the bar. You were freezing and wanted something warm to drink. Maybe you could find out from Grillby himself since he seems to know everyone's secrets down here.

Like it was fate, there came the flames himself, with a soft smile on his face. You returned the smile yourself as it seemed to be contagious.

"Why hello there dear (Y/N). Long time no see."

"Hi Grillby. Yeah it's been a while hasn't it? I have been so busy for no reason at all." You chuckled laying your head down on the counter.

It seemed to be you helping everyone else anymore than anyone helping you. It was getting tiring. You have been here for over 4 years and no one really asks if you are okay. Ever since you helped the monster get rid of that evil flower and that one ghost girl trying to process Frisk, everyone seems to come to you like you were god or something. It's exhausting. You have no idea how Frisk was able to do it for so long.

"I can understand. You are reliable so everyone comes to you dear human. Plus you are the very few you decide to stay. That's not common in our world. I know everyone is so very grateful to have you here." His smile grew and he patted you on the head, the warmth sending chills down your spine.

It was so interesting that his hand didn't catch your hair on fire. But he seems to know what to say everytime. You let out everything you have been holding through a sigh and returned it with a chuckle. You knew he was right.

"Thank you Grillby. You seem to always know what to say."

"Of course. Now. Your face looks a little red. Would you like something warm to drink?" He asked grabbing a cup.

Your eyes glittered at the question. "Please. I have been out in the snow all day trying to track Sans down. Ever since he left a couple days ago to celebrate Frisks birthday. I haven't seen or heard from him." You grabbed your temples and mentally groaned.

Grillby hummed at your responses as he was making you a hot chocolate. "What's the coincidence of her birthday being the same week as their cycle week." He cocked an eyebrow.

You lifted your head up. "Cycle week? What do you mean?"

Grillby stared at you for a second. You had been living with them for 4 years and not once have you ever heard of this.
