Accidental Angel (KNY X Child! Oc)

Hashira meeting part 2

I flinch as soon as i said my full name. Everyone around me gasped, growled, or glared at me like *i* was the one who killed all the humans in life. My hands quickly go to cover my hair, and I try to hide my face with my hair. 

All this noise...its worse than listening to Ma-chan and aza-kun!!! And i just KNEW that the snake man (Obanai) and the Scarred guy (Sanemi) were the ones with the most hatred! You don't have to be a demon, to sense, or better yet, FEEL the venom.

"Shh" Oyakata-sama said. And i hear it get quiet. Too quiet.

'This is almost as bad as the loud yelling!' I thought to myself. Doing my best not to whimper when their leader called my name out. And i slowly looked up, expecting to see that oh so familiar gaze of pure hatred.

Except there was none. Just, Kind pastel eyes just staring at me. Or rather at my general direction. He was still sitting in the same position as before. I could sense a little anger, but it didn't feel like it was towards me, which was confusing.

After all, I'm the daughter of the Demon king. Why wouldn't he hate me! But no, he was just staring in my direction with that gentle smile from before. Why wasn't he fazed? Was...was he not afraid of me, of what i might do?

'Then again all these hashiras have their blades at my neck...I doubt i'd be able to even say a word before one of them beheaded me...' Again, i barely withheld a whimper just from the thought, of being killed here and now.

"So you are HIS Child?" The master asked, gently. I slowly nod, afraid to move too sudden, i don't want to trigger an attack. "What are you doing so far from your father, child? Surely, you should be at his side, no?" 

I feel my lips tug into a frown. Another reminder of my failure to be a good daughter... 
"N-No.." DAMMIT WHY DID I STUTTER?!

"I see...I don't suppose you'd disclose his location?" I shook my head. I would not turn in my father! But...i also didn't actually KNOW where the infinity fortress was. Usually I would just have to stomp three times and yell Nakime-chan's name, and i'd be back home.

"That is unfortunate. I do hope you understand we can not let you go, child." I feel my eyes begin to burn, i already knew I was bound to die, when i let Mitsuri take me. Didn't make it any less scary though. I give another nod. 

"Let's just kill it already!" I hear, I think, Sanemi yell out. And i hear a grunt from behind me, which sounded like the snake man. "Let us end this soul's misery." Now i knew that deep voice was the big guy. Gyomei I think.

"Ara Ara, I'll use a poison that won't cause too much pain!" 

I feel myself shudder, damn that woman was creepy. 

"I AM AFRAID I MUST AGREE!" God, i don't really like the Rengoku man. He's still too loud. "I'll Do it so flashily you'll forget its still young!!!" Yeah that one wasn't much better. 

"Shhh." The leader said, and again, like demons obey my father, they all obeyed him. 

"Kanroji-san. You brought in the child. What do YOU think we should do?"

"I..."

This is it, I'm going to die here!!

"i....I WANT TO KEEP HER!!!!"

....wha-

"ARE YOU CRAZY?! ITLL KILL YOU!" "THERES NO USE TRYING TO SAVE THAT THING!" "Oh?~ Why so Kanroji- san?" "YES I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO KNOW!! :D "

Another shush from him, and they quiet down again...he has to do that a lot, huh?

"I....I know she is a demon! And she has probably killed, and eaten people before...But..." I hear Mitsuri begin. 

"...She is still a child! Surely, We can-"
"What?!" Sanemi yells, "You want to keep it!?" 
"Y-yes!"

"I see..." The leader says again. "And what do you say child?" 

The attention went back fully to me, and this time, i can't refrain from flinching.  "Uh...i....get a choice?" I ask, probably meekly.

I see him nod, his short black hair moving as he did. "Yes child."

"Um....I....I'm okay with it-" I mean its that or death so, yeah i wanna live -_-

"Kanroji, You are in charge of the child's being. If she eats another under your care..." I guess the underlying threat was understood, cuz i heard Mitsuri gulp and saw her nod. Then i saw snake boy glare extra hard at me. 

I feel myself begin to tune out the ones around me. Focusing on Mitsuri. 

Why would she want to 'help' me? Is it because i cried on her? I didn't mean, I, i was just i needed comfort- its not my fault- 

More thoughts enter my brain, and nothing good. Self doubt, self hatred, and bitterness snuck inside my mind, determined to stay and torture me. 

'I don't deserve whatever she tries to do. I don't need redemption! I need to gain Father's approval again! I can't let myself get soft, well anymore more soft than i became already!'

'Its not okay what he does.'

I feel hear an old voice. I haven't heard since i was 3 years old. Its my human half!

'What do you mean?! I have a chance to gain inside information! I can gain these idiot's trust, and then return to father. I Will regain my honor as his daughter!!'

'You shouldn't have to do this. You're a child. WE are a child. Maybe we should take the offer with a good mind, not to use them but let them help us heal-'

'ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! YOU THINK THEY'D LET ME LIVE WITHOUT SOMETHING IN RETURN!! THEY'LL PROBABLY TRY TO TORTURE ME IN SNEAKY WAYS UNTIL I CRACK!!!'

before i can spiral any further, i feel a hand on my shoulder. I tense up, expecting it to be one of the swordsmen who want nothing more than to kill me. But when i looked up, It was Mitsuri, she was ushering me to their leader. 

I gulp, but comply.  I stand before the blind man, feeling nervous. 
I half expect him to do something to knock me out. But no, I see his hand, wave at me, like he's looking for something. 

What was he doing?

One of the kids leads his hand to my head. Oh so he was going to hit me, but he couldn't fine me. 
Again i was wrong, i feel his hand pet my head. 

It felt... warm...loving...NO DONT GIVE IN!!! WE ALREDY CRIED ONCE!!! But it felt so nice...maybe we can indulge in it, only temporarily? I feel myself, relax into the touch, without my permission! 

He kept patting my head then spoke up. "I have a feeling...You will do great things here, child."

What did he mean by that?

OW!! I think someone hit me. I get up- wait- nope nevermind, I'm going down!
I feel hands grab me before i go out.


(Third Point of View)


As the demon child fell forward, a Kakushi grabbed her.  "Put it in a dark room until further notice." Shinobu says, in her sickly sweet voice. The Kakushi nods, and flees to the Butterfly estate.

Once they're gone. Shinobu walks, with Mitsuri following. 
When they were out of ear shot of their beloved master, Shinobu turned to Mitsuri. Her expression a bit sinister. "I do hope you know what you're doing, Kanroji-chan. It'd be a shame for you to die. Don't you think?"

Mitsuri is reminded why Shinobu can be intimidating. "O-Of course!"

With that, Shinobu left. Leaving the love pillar to think about what had just happened. 

She could only hope, that her idea wouldn't backfire.
Not just for her sake, but for everyone's sake.
