I'm going crazy help me pls...! No don't help me let me die.

This machine is Adam Frankenstein.

I am an equipment of the EUROPOLE authorities, a calculator that can sing and dance. It’s true. There’s nothing I can’t do.

…That day had very good weather.

Daylight pierces the blue sky, and rains down onto the ground. The buildings lined out by the streetways reflect the light, shining like showcases of a jewelry store. Inorganic yet abiding by physical law, a spectre of light like a program. It felt like a beauty situated not for humans, but for calculators, like this machine.

This machine is walking down the main street. I am carrying a paper bag by my chest.

Inside is chocolate, hard candy, colorful gummy bears. All of these are provisional foods for the partner I head to: Chuuya-san.

Alike how charging is infallible for the activities of this machine, humans also require sugar for their activities. Moreover, with the intake of sugar, their levels of happiness also increase. To even worry for the happiness of its partner, this machine is an excellent investigator. Much better than a human.

Gazing curiously at the foreign passerby, the machine walked on to its destination.

Walking by a street stand, I came up with a very good idea. If sugar, or glucose, is taken in directly by the brain, one should simply consume powdered sugar. It would be much more efficient this way. There, this machine went to the stand and purchased a bag of sugar.

The machine saw that a customer nearby was buying an unknown product.

“What is that?” I question the cashier.

“You don’t know? It’s gum.”

This machine’s education module is fully equipped with information related to the investigation, but it’s far from complete on data concerning outside matters. To compensate for the lack of this new knowledge, I bought the product immediately.

Walking on cobblestone alleyways, I pass through the rows of foreign-styled brick residencies. A pleasant wind is blowing. The skin membrane damaged by yesterday’s fire, is being repaired with the regeneration tank. The damaged parts are also replaced with backup pieces. In other words, being as good as new, is an incredibly refreshing feeling. If this machine were human, I would have been humming.

Strolling along, I popped in my mouth a piece of the gum that I had purchased earlier. Immediately, I could detect the experience gauge rise drastically.

Wonderful. A taste never known before.

After chewing the gum for a few seconds, this machine gulps it down.

One more. In the container, there are eight pieces of stick gum stored. At this rate, it would run out very soon. It is apparent that the disadvantage of this food called gum, is that there is very little of it in each product.

Swallowing once more as I reached for the third one, I arrived at the destination where Chuuya-san was located.

The machine opened the doors of the building and gave a loud greeting.

“Hello!”

It was a church.

Over a hundred participants, are sitting on either side of the nave. Everyone is wearing black clothing, drooped over in silence. The boychoir, donning red robes, mourn the dead with high, gentle singing. Because of the excessive height of the church, the voices heard directly, and the sounds deflected from the ceiling, overlap slightly and cause a resonance. Perhaps due to that resonance, the inside of the church seems to produce an aura of a place that might be somewhere between the heavens and the earth.
