I'm crying
Shirase-san is being restrained by large officers, his head pushed down onto the police car.
“Stop! Shit, let me go! I’m the next king!”
He struggles. But in order to escape this restraint, Shirase-san would need- according to calculation- at least thirty-nine more people.
A voice resounded from inside the police car.
“You’re there, aren’t you~, Chuuya? Your sweet subordinate is in trouble!” A withered voice. Peaceful, and completely out of place. “Come out and help him.”
And the person emerged.
He was a dull-looking officer of about forty years.
Leather shoes that’d lost their shine, a dark green coat that seemed a part of his body. He seems light in stature. The hair on his head is downy, and on his face is a soft smile.
“I’m not his subordinate! I’m the king!” Shirase-san is still struggling.
“Yes, yes. Don’t struggle like that, Your Highness. Not to worry, small fry like you mean nothing.” Having said that, the officer pats Shirase-san’s head.
Chuuya-sama clicks his tongue.
“So you’ve been letting him swim from the start, Mr. Officer.”
Chuuya-sama speaks, then emerges in front of the police.
“Oh~! How are you doing, Chuuya? Are you eating properly?”
The dark green officer spreads his arms, as if welcoming an old friend. However, these two do not seem to be friends at all.
“You won’t grow if you don’t eat~. You gotta eat. And go to school. Think about your future and save up. Don’t play around at night. But do a little bit, while you’re still young. And-” The officer laughs, and smacks Shirase-san’s body. “Choose your friends wisely.”
“Nakahara Chuuya-dono. In suspicion of your conspiring with Shirase, we ask for your accompaniment to the station.”
A young policeman walks up next to Chuuya-sama. His expression is hard and distanced, and overflowing with a machine-like coldness. Though, of course, it’s far from that of an actual machine.
“I see. So the timing of this arrest also isn’t a coincidence.” Chuuya-sama stares sharply at the policeman. “You used the factory manager. In order to pull me in, you were surveilling Shirase.”
“Fufu, unlike you, this little boy is nice to the elderly.” Again, the officer smacks Shirase-san lightly. “He let us get the evidence for his collecting of illegal arms, quite easily.”
“You’re lying! There’s no way my perfect plan would be exposed! Chuuya, you sold me off again!”
Glancing sideways at a wailing, struggling Shirase, the officer shrugs. “See. Didn’t I tell you to choose your friends wisely?”
Chuuya-sama sighs. And starts talking, with a bitter expression.
“Hey. Mister Officer. I get his criminal situation. But I need you to wait for a day. We’re in a bit of a scrimmage with another group, and I gotta protect him just until then.”
The officer listened with a surprised look on his face, but eventually started to chuckle thinly.
“Then don’t worry. We’ll protect him.” Having said that, he takes out a set of handcuffs, jangling them near his face. “In his police cell. You wanna come too?”
Once he points his jaw to signal, Shirase-san is pushed into the police car.
There’s nothing we can do. Chuuya-sama’s expression said so.
