I Don't Dance

Hey guys, sorry for the long update, I've been really busy for school stuff. This is another Lyric one shot. The Song is I Don't Dance by Lee Brice. I'm gonna update the Beach Fan Fic after this one-shot, I have to totally re-start on the short-story, and I'll try to start on the Nalu Fanfic soon.This one isn't gonna be long, It's the second verse and the rest of the song. I just wanna make u people happy!😋

It was the night of Homecoming at Fairy Tail Academy.

(Notice how both of these Lyric one-shots take place in Fairy Tail Academy, but they aren't in love yet)

FTA won the game and now everyone was in the gym partying. There was food, music, dancing, but most importantly...... love. Well important to Mirajane Strauss, FTA's #1 Matchmaker. She would walk around the dance taking pictures of the couples she shipped and thought were perfect for eachother. But that was slowly dying when she noticed that one of her main ships were no where near eachother. Mira walked to the blond who was drinking from a Red Solo cup and tapped on her shoulder.

The blonde turned around,"Oh hey, Mira. How's it goin'?" Mira smiled,"It's goin' good. Why aren't you dancing..................with Natsu?" Lucy choked on her drink.

"W-what do you mean?" Lucy said while wiping a stray drop of beer on her lip. Mira giggled,"You know what I mean. I know you at least wanna try to ask him." Lucy dared a glance over at where he was sitting. He sat across the gym at a table........... also drinking beer from a Red Solo cup.

Lucy shook her head in disagreement and went to take another sip of beer, but before she could finish the rest of the sip, Mira grabbed the cup and gave it to Cana who was chugging beer straight from the Keig. "Miraaaaaa....." Lucy pouted, but Mira interupted her,"You are not allowed to have anymore booze until you at least ask him to dance with you."

Lucy sighed, and began to walk towards the pinkette. Natsu noticed the blond headed his way, and quickly guzzled the last little bit of drink he had. When she reached him, he flashed his signature grin,"Hey, Luce. Are you enjoying Homecoming?" She nodded,"Congrats on winning the big game." Natsu's smile grew bigger,"Thanks. Did you watch?"

"O-of course I did," Lucy replied with a small blush and then thought I watch all of you're games. "Anyways, ummm. W-would you like to dance with me?" Lucy asked kinda nervously. Natsu scratched the back of his neck, embarrassed of what he was saying,"I.......kinda don't know how to dance." Lucy giggled,"C'mon! I'll teach you," she said as she grabbed Natsu's hand, forgetting her total nervousness and with out realization.

As soon as they got out there a slow song began to play.

Lucy was helping Natsu waltz, and even though he tripped a few times, he started to get better slowly. Lucy had her eyes closed and hummed along with the song, while Natsu watched her in awe. He grinned some when she peeked open one eye and blushed at the fact she was partially singing infront of her crush. "S-sorry," She mummbled, bitting her lip. "No. It's ok, it sounded pretty," Natsu said starting to take the lead.

Lucy was amazed at how Natsu was taking the lead. He spun her and then pulled her close, and continued to waltz away. "I thought you didn't know how to dance?" Lucy asked her pink haired partner. Natsu smirked,"I might've lied just a bit." He dipped her down and they stayed there for a moment, exploring eachothers eyes like they could tell them everything.

Yeah you got me int the palm of you're hand, girl.
'Cuz I don't dance. Ohhh I don't dance.

"Ummm y-you can........ let me up now," Lucy said breaking their stare. Natsu blinked and realized their position,"Oh, yeah. Sorry." When he lifted Lucy back up, it was like time stopped for them. Natsu grinned,"You look very beautiful tonight." Lucy blushed and replied,"T-thanks. You l-look good yourself."

They closed the space between them. When they pulled away for air, Natsu smiled and say,"I like you, too." Lucy laughed,"You know I was so nervous to talk to you that I practically drank 5 cups of beer?" Natsu chuckled and replied,"Yeah, I saw. But I don't have room to talk because I did the same thing." They smiled at eachother.

Yeah, you got me in the palm of your hand, girl.
