Jake is weaving through pedestrians on his skateboard, with his backpack slung over one shoulder.
Jake: "Yo, I gotta get to school before Trixie roasts me for being late again."
He takes a sharp turn to avoid a street vendor.
Vendor: "Hey, watch it, kid!"

Jake: "Sorry, Mr. Kim! Just honing my agility for the next dragon challenge!"
Jake's phone rings, and he puts it on speaker.
Trixie: "Jake, where you at? Bell's about to ring!"
Jake: "On my way! Just had to dodge a few tourists. Why do they always stop in the middle of the sidewalk?"
Trixie: "Better get your dragon tail here fast."
Suddenly, Jake spots a kid chasing a runaway balloon into traffic. Without thinking, he leaps off his skateboard.
Jake: "Hang tight, kid! Dragon to the rescue!"
He discreetly uses his dragon abilities to extend his reach and grabs the balloon, bringing it safely back.
Kid: "Whoa, thanks! How did you do that?"
Jake: "Just a bit of morning magic, my dude. Stay safe."
He hops back on his skateboard and speeds up.
Jake: "Alright, Trix, I'm almost there. Tell the teacher I was saving lives, not just running late."
He skates into the school yard just as the bell rings.
Jake: "Made it! Another day, another dragon adventure."
Scene: Inside the school hallway, just after the bell rings
Jake skates into the school hallway, narrowly avoiding a group of students and comes to a halt at his locker. He quickly stuffs his skateboard inside and grabs his books.
Jake: "Made it just in time. That's a new record."
Trixie and Spud approach, giving him knowing looks.
Trixie: "Barely. What took you so long this time? Rescuing kittens from trees?"
Spud: "Or maybe you were fighting an evil soda machine. Those things can be brutal."
Jake: "Actually, it was a runaway balloon. Kid almost ended up as street pizza."
Trixie smirks, and Spud chuckles as they all start heading towards their first class.
Trixie: "Just another day in the life of Jake Long, huh?"
Jake: "Pretty much. You know, I think I'm getting better at this whole dragon thing."
Spud: "Good thing, 'cause the way these tests are coming at us, you might need dragon powers just to survive."
They walk into the classroom, where their teacher, Mr. Rotwood, is writing on the board.
