Finding Love

CHAPTER 2

I groan as the blaring sound of the alarm screeches in my ears; I will myself to get up and head to the restroom. I lazily get ready and head out for my morning walk.

I put my earphones in one ear while I walk and zone out, taking in the Marvel of the trees and the birds chirping while some ballad plays in the background at a low volume.
I enjoy the smell of the soil, the smell that you get right before it rains.

I'm done with my walk, I head home and get ready for college.

I walk into my classroom and the first thing I see is grey eyes, but I quickly look away and go take my seat, the professor is still not here, just as I sit in my seat, it feels like my ears have been ripped off, I groan as I take my stuff out and place it in the desk before turning to them.
Julie, Vanessa, Brandon, and William.

"Hey peach, what up?"

"Hii harperrrrr! What up bitch?"

"Sup"

"Hi babee"

I chuckle as they bombard me with questions

"Hi Brandon, Vanessa, Will, Julie"

I nod as I acknowledge each of them.

I get fist bumps and handshakes in return as the professor finally enters. We all settle down as the class starts.

A few minutes later, laughter erupts from the back row and most of us turn to see who it was, though we all already knew.
It was Jasper and his friends. They're what you would call the jocks, the ones that are always so loud that you'd know it's them before you even see them.

But that's not where my attention is.
It's at the head that's currently lying down on the desk, practically dozing off while his friends are in a similar state around him. Jake is leaning in his chair while Blake has a pen above his lip, looking bored as hell, and Caden has his earphones plugged in while he stares out the window.

Zane Bennett, my unofficial but official crush...I know, wrong choice, but no one knows, and I plan to keep it that way.
I still can't believe the guy my brain decided to have a crush on would be a guy that is not romantic. At all.
Who's currently lying his head down at the table probably dozing off, I know I just said that but bear with me.

I turn back to the front when the professor grumbles something and everything quiets down again.

I feel restless as I sit there zoning out as the professor rambles on about something that I'm sure most of the students aren't listening to, I groan under my breath as I feel frustrated. I hear a chuckle beside me right when I feel a hand being placed at the back of my chair.

"What up peaches? Getting bored?"

I nod as I hear Brandon whisper, i start to zone out again as I feel his fingers playing with the ends of my hair. He just hums and continues writing while still playing with my hair.

After a while, the professor walks out and everyone groans as they stretch, I turn to the side to face my friends as i whine

"I'm so tired, how many more classes do we have?"

"Chill babe, we've got two more"
I hear Julie chuckle as she rolls her eyes, I roll my eyes at her but can't help when my eyes dart behind her and lock on grey eyes, his eyes.
