Sweet Treats ♥

[Name] brushed her fingers through her long yukata admiring the flowery patterns printed on the fabric. Today was summer festival and [Name]'s first date. She was very nervous. What if she made a fool of herself? What if he didn't like her kimono? Many 'ifs' ran through her mind as she looked at her reflection.

The bell chimed from the front door as [Name] felt her heartbeat suddenly increase with her hands shaking nervously as she runs them through her hair. A nervous habit she developed.

"[Name], are you ready?" Her mother asked popping her head through her daughter's door. At the sight of her daughter she smiled softly at the nervous expression clearly shown on her face. It reminded her of her first date with her father.

[Name]'s mother squeezed her shoulders gently "There is nothing to be nervous about dear. Just relax and enjoy. It's your first date" She spoke and brushed a fallen strand from [Name] hair and feeling her daughter's shoulder relax.

[Name] soon emerged from her room making her way down the hallway as she repeatedly played her mother's words. Just be yourself. [Name] clenched her fists as she nodded her head I'll just be myself she thought reaching the door.

At the door stood a nervous Makoto Tachibana in a male yukata with his hands beside him as they shook nervously by his side. It was probably the cause from [Name]'s father who had given Makoto a hard look and probably threaten the boy. Shintaro smiled at his daughter appearance. Her appearance equals that of his wife. She looks just like her mother when I first had my date with her He thought.

"Have fun [Name], make sure that boy doesn't do anythi—" Shintaro started but was cut off as his wife waved and yelled.

"Have fun you two and be safe!"

[Name] blushed and waved goodbye to parents as she quickly ran to catch up with Makoto as the two walked in silence along the street to the harbour. Feeling as if the silence was too much to bear, Makoto coughed slightly and turned to [Name].

"You look cute tonight [Name]." His comment was enough to make her cheeks redden as she felt a smile appear on her lips muttering a small 'Thank you' in return as they arrived at the harbour. The place was filled with families as children ran to different stalls with their friends enjoying the festival.

"This festival is amazing." [Name] eyes widen as she looked at stalls eager to play games and enjoy the different food.

Makoto nodded "It is. We should join in as well." He said and with that the two headed for the first stall.

An hour later the tension between the two had vanished as they each began to relax and enjoy the date. Playing at many of the booths and buying delicious snacks from various stalls. It was as if they were couples already, laughing, talking and just enjoying each others company.

"Thank you so much! This orca is cute Makoto." [Name] pressed her cheek against the orca feeling it's soft coat against her cheek. The gift that Makoto had won for her. Even if it was a child's toy she would sure treasure the gift forever. Makoto smiled softly as he held her hand leading her to another stall. By now [Name] had gotten comfortable with Makoto holding her hand and Makoto himself was happy to be holding hers as well.

"Oh look, they are selling candy, let's go and take a look Makoto" [Name] said pointing to the stall as she hurried over with Makoto following along. They bought a bag filled with many sweets and found a nearby bench to rest and eat. It was away from the noisy festival but the laughter and chatter could still faintly be heard.

"[Name]"

[Name] looked away from the sea to Makoto as he held a sweet in hand offering her one. As she was about to take her sweet he stopped her "I want to give you the sweet. Could you close your eyes first for me?"

[Name] blinked confused but obeyed and closed her eyes awaiting with her lips slightly a parted. Makoto looked at [Name]'s face and breathed in deeply to calm his nerves before he slowly leaned in gently and pressed his lips against hers.

[Name] felt a warm touch to her lips as her eyes opened in shock as her body felt parlayed and she could only gaze at Makoto. He was kissing? He was actually kissing her?! [Name] felt slightly dizzy as her cheeks heated up in embarrassment and her heart beats loudly in her chest and was sure that Makoto could hear it.

The kiss lasted a minute before Makoto pulled away his cheeks redder than before as he averted his eyes [Name] doing the same. They both sat in silent for a while both flustered to talk to one another after what just had happened. Soon [Name] cleared her throat recovering from her shock and touched her lips the lingering feeling of his still remained. She looked down.

"Makoto" She called catching his attention as he looked at her. [Name] had a smile on her red face as she looked at him.

"That was a nice sweet treat"

Makoto eyes widen before his face relaxed a smile appeared and brushed his fingers gently against her skin.

"Then I would be happy to treat you too more sweets whenever you want too."
