Heart Monitor

Scott walks out a door in a parking garage and looks around carrying bags of groceries as he does. He keeps looking around letting out a deep sigh and muttering  "damnit!" when he realizes he doesn't remember where he parked. He goes back to the door and walks up to level 4 of the parking garage. He walks around looking for the car still not seeing it he sighs and sits the groceries on the ground pulling the keys out to make the alarm go off on the car.

He looks up when he thinks he hears it on the floor above him and out of the corner of his eyes he sees. the milk rolling away. He quickly goes to grab it saying "Oh, crap!" when it rolls fully under. Before a look of confusion comes on his face when the milk rolls back with puncture marks and milk leaking out of it.

James immediately shakes his head mumbling "Nope! I don't like that! Whatever that is can keep the damn milk. No way!" Lily and Harry laugh at his antics but can't helo but agree with him.

Scott slowly looks up before taking off as he runs he hears a growling noise making him pick up speed. He ducks behind a car but his heart is beating loudly making him get an idea. He stands up jumping on multiple cars to make the alarms go off before ducking back behind a car breathing heavily. As he tries to catch his breath his phone rings making him panic and immediately try to silence it. But before he can he is grabbed and slammed onto the hood of the car he was hiding behind.

He looks up wincing as he does only to see Derek who grimly says "You're dead." Scott just stares at him appalled with the whole situation yelling out in frustration "What? What the hell was that?" 

Derek and Scott are walking around the garage when Derek shrugs unbothered before telling Scott "I said I was gonna teach you-- I didn't say when." Scott still feeling frustrated says "You scared the crap out of me!" Derek wryly answers "Not yet..."

Scott becomes defensive and says "Okay, but I was fast, right?" Derek looks less than impressed when he says "Not fast enough." Scott scoffs at this "But-but the car alarm thing! That was smart, right?" Derek keeps walking forward as he says "Til your phone rang."

Lilah looks close to tears apologizing repeatedly for messing everything up making everyone's eyes widen and rush to say it wasn't her fault. Scott glares at Derek while holding Lilah protectively and whispering words of reassurance to her. Derek winces feeling horrible and knowing it will get worse.

Scott starts stammering saying "Yeah, but that was-- I mean-- [exasperatedly] Would you just stop? Please?" Derek stops walking and turns to face Scott. Scott sighs before saying "What happened the other night-- Stiles' dad almost getting hurt-- that would have been my fault. I need you to teach me how to control this."

Stiles looks thankfully to Scott appreciating him caring about his dad. Scott notices the look and scoffs of course he cares about Noah. Noah was a father figure to him while his own father just abandoned him.

Derek sighs saying "Look, I am what I am because of birth. You were bitten. Teaching someone who was bitten takes time. I don't even know if I can teach you." Scott looks to Derek feeling determined asks "What do I have to do?"

Derek sighs knowing Scott won't like this but it is the only way he knows and he still can't find proof of Lilah being Scott's soulmate. "You have to get rid of distractions." Derek takes Scott's phone holding it up to show it was Lilah who called "You see this? This is why I caught you. You want me to teach you? Get rid of her."

Lilah has tears rolling down her face was she really a problem that got in the way? She looks at Derek with an apologetic look about to apologize. But Derek immediately shakes his head in denial hating to see her sad. Peter who also doesn't like seeing Lilah cry smacks the back of Derek's head hard glaring at him as he does.
