It didn't took long before Nami had tugged you along with her inside one of the many empty houses in Orange Town.

Stepping into the kitchen, Nami fetched you some food and placed it on a plate on a table, you sat down on a chair and began to eat without any hesitation.

Nami sat on a chair across from you near a table, she didn't eat anything, instead she just observed as you ate with a small smile on her face.

"So in any case... You got seperated from the rest of your crew?" Nami decided to break the silence and start up a conversation.

"Aye. My captain launched me into the sky as we were trying to catch a bird for a meal. Unfortunately, i was sent a bit off course and the bird instead caught me in its beak, then a cannonball hit me and the bird, i was sent crashing to the ground and... You know the rest." You explain right after swallowing the food you had in your mouth, you let out an amused chuckle while Nami simply sighed upon hearing the full story.

"Honestly... There are better ways to get food than doing something like this..." Nami told as she shook her head, clearly disapproving.

You just gave Nami a shrug in return as you grabbed hold of a bottle of rum to drink after a meal.

"At any rate... This whole place seems deserted. You don't live here, do you?" You asked calmly, changing the subjects, you drank the rum directly from the bottle as you awaited for Nami response.

"No. All of the people living in this town left because of Captain Buggy and his pirates. They're terrified of them. I've been using this house as my own hideout." Nami shook her head left and right once and then gave a response.

"Captain Buggy huh... Then what those pirates told had been true? You got that chart you were after?" You asked again as you placed down the empty bottle of rum you drank down on a table.

Nami smirked and whipped out a rolled up chart, the same one she indeed stole from Buggy. "Indeed. With this, i can enter the Grand Line. I've gotta collect one hundred million berries, then i'm gonna buy a certain village." The orange-haired female thief explained, then she rolled up the chart again and hid it.

"Now i understand why you are so determined to get that money... Still, one hundred million berries is quite a lot." You told calmly, looking quite serious as you leaned back on the chair and whipped out a cigarette along with a lighter.

"Yeah, which is why i could use a guy like you. Come on, ditch being a pirate and join me instead! We could steal the treasure from the most notorious pirates out there and become rich!" Nami exclaimed as she flashed a sly grin at you, trying to persuade you again.

"Truth be told Nami, i don't care all that much about treasure. I know, that's not very pirate-like but, it's the truth." You replied calmly without even looking at Nami as instead, you lit up your cigarette and began to smoke it, lighter you hid back in your pockets.

"Really? You don't care about the treasure? Then, what are you after? Why have you set out to the sea?" Nami questioned as she looked directly at you, growing quite curious.

"I just want to explore the world and live as freely as possible. That's why pirate's life is perfect for me." You gave a short explanation, yet it was enough for Nami to draw the full picture.

"You don't have to be a pirate to do that. You can explore the world and live freely as a normal person." Nami tried to counter your logic as she glared at you and placed her hands firmly on the table.

"Pirates aren't normal then?" You countered back as you looked back at Nami, your gaze is calm though in contrast to the harsh glare Nami is giving you.
