Just then, they heard the distant sound of a car engine. Arnav looked up and saw headlights approaching. "That must be Aman" he said, there was a hint of relief in his voice. As the car drew nearer, Khushi's eyes lit up with happiness. The thought of finally going home and getting something to eat made her feel better. The car stopped, and Aman quickly got out, rushing over to them. Then he immediately secured them both in the car. As they drove back, Khushi leaned against Arnav, her worries were momentarily pushed aside by the relief of being safe. When they finally reached Khushi's home, Arnav turned to her, with his gentle but firm voice, said, "Khushi, don't mention this accident to anyone at home, okay? I don't want them to worry." Khushi looked at him and nodded, understanding the weight of his words. Arnav gave her a small, reassuring smile before she got out of the car. Although Arnav had reassured Khushi, a deep concern gnawed at him. How did the brakes of his car come loose? Was someone trying to sabotage him deliberately? The thought lingered, casting a shadow over his mind even as they made their way back. As they drove in silence, Aman suddenly spoke up, seriously.
Aman: "Arnav, there's something you need to know. We couldn't find anything substantial regarding the scorpion incident, but I did come across something shocking."
Arnav: "What is it, Aman?"
Aman hesitated for a moment before continuing.
Aman: "I found a video recording from one of the security cameras just outside the Raizada Mansion. It shows Shyam... with a scorpion."
Arnav's eyes widened in disbelief. "What?"
Aman: "Yes, he was holding a scorpion in a mithaayi box, just outside the mansion. It's unclear what he was doing with it, but the timing.. it's suspicious."
Arnav's mind raced as he tried to process the information. Could Shyam, his brother-in-law have had anything to do with the scorpion that bit him? He shook his head, trying to push the thought away.
Arnav: "Maybe it wasn't the same scorpion that bit me. Shyam.. he's strange, but I can't imagine him doing something like that."
Aman: "I understand, but it's still worth looking into. And there's more, the CCTV footage we usually rely on, it's been tampered with. The cameras are old or broken, and the footage is missing at regular intervals."
Arnav's brow furrowed as a sense of unease settled over him.
Arnav: "Do you think someone was deliberately messing with it?"
Aman: "It's possible. We can't rule it out. That's why I've installed secret cameras in and around the mansion. We can only trust those now, but you need to keep this to yourself, Arnav. Don't talk about it to anyone, not even Khushi."
Arnav leaned back in his seat, his mind reeling with the implications.
Arnav: "I don't tell her everything, Aman"
Aman chuckled softly, trying to lighten the mood. "For now, maybe!"
Arnav: "Shut up!"
Aman: "Another thing Arnav, Shyam.. it's really shady. Why would he have a scorpion in the first place? It's not exactly something you keep as a pet."
Arnav: "He is weird like that. He does some unbelievable things for his cases Aman, that's why I never involved him in ARD's legal department."
Aman: "I don't know, Arnav. But it doesn't make sense. We should keep an eye on him."
