Once I told Cody goodnight I flopped into my car with a huge sigh. I started the engine and decided I should go inform Tara's father.
I knocked on the door of his suburban house only to hear a woman scream "BABY STOP!! Go answer the door! We can play some more when you get back!" I heard the locks turn on the door and he slowly opened it. When he saw me he had a puzzled look on his face.
"Tina? What're you doing here at this hour?" He asked.
"Tony do you have any idea where your daughter is!?" I asked aggravated but broken.
"Well, actually, no I don't." He said.
"Tony, may I please come in? It's quite chilly out here."
"Oh, right, sorry. Come on in."
"Tara is dead." I said as I was walking in. He looked confused.
"No, she can't be...how..."
"She slit her neck, but no body was found."
"Then how do they know she slit her neck?" He asked.
"Cody watched her do it. Now I'm sorry I interrupted your little 'pow-wow' but I should get going now. Goodbye Tony." Then I turned and walked out before he could say anything else. When I got home that night I went and took a hot shower and then went to bed. Thinking about Tara, and Cody, and life.
I had to face it, Tara was dead.
