My name is Tina Farloch, I am the mother of Tara Devón. Her father and I had gotten a divorce when she was 15. Tara is now 19, she has a job as the librarians assistant. She works from 10:00 am to 3:20 pm on weekdays, therefore I see her before I go to work and after I get home from work. That was, until February 13, 2014, the day before Valentine's Day. She wasn't at home when I got there, which I wasn't to worried about because she probably just went out with friends. So I picked up the phone and dialed her cell.
"Hello?" She answered.
"Tara? Where are you dear?" I asked, very careful not to be pushy.
"I went out with Cody." Cody was her boyfriend of 3 years.
"Okay dear, when do you think you will be home?"
"Well, I was kind of hoping you would let me stay the night at Cody's house." She knew how I felt about that, but would continuously ask.
"Now, Tara, you know how I feel about that!"
"Mom, it's not like Cody is a serial killer!"She is beginning to get aggravated.
"Tara! Now I have to go to Melonie's house at 6:00 for a dinner party, I want you home by 5:00. Okay?" I wasn't going to give in.
"Fine! I guess I will see you at 5!" She shouted, and then hung up the phone. She got home at 4:45, going strait to her room and slamming the door. And that was life before the murder.
