I burst into my room completely disregarding my parents who asked how my day was. I grabbed a suitcase from my parents room and began to pack things such as photos of my mom, dad and sister. Now I had to think about what clothes to pack, I considered the fact that it was summer and that it reached 34 degrees Celsius and I didn't want to burn up so I decided it was best to wear exercise shorts and short sleeve shirts while there. My parents were absolutely confused and they had every right to, I never told them when I got home about the Real Madrid Academy Offer.
"Francesco come down here right this instant why are you in such a hurry?" My mother asked her face had plastered a confused look.
" Mamma you're never going to believe what happened when me, Havier, and Paolo went to play in the final. Me and Havier got an offer to be in Real Madrids academy and we leave this Thursday." My mother's screams of happiness filled the house and my father who loved football began to congratulate me.
My father then asked me about Paolo and I had to explain to him that I got rejected from AC Milan's academy and that Paolo was accepted. When he heard this I saw the smile on his face disappear and turn into a slight frown. I knew he was happy for me but he was disappointed that I would have to leave them behind and go to Madrid but I told them that I would keep in touch with them through text.
It was finally Thursday and we were being picked up by some Real Madrid players who offered to pick me and Havier up and take care of us until we got to the academy. They arrived at my house and we put our things in the car and waved goodbye to them and I saw a tear shedded by my father which wasn't that common. I didn't realize it immediately but the players were Brahim Diaz and Rodrygo. They both asked us if we were excited and we both screamed in excitement. I was elated and as the plane began to lift off the ground I watched from out of the window as I saw the San Siro and the rest of Milan for the last time before going to Spain. I fell asleep for most of the journey.
