Mu slowly opened her eyes as she stretched. She didn't want to wake up from her bed. It was simply too comfortable.
The air was cold and nice. The bed was soft and smelled new and most of all, she didn't need to go and try to steal whatever she could muster from the Mafia to survive. Life was bliss, or she thought...
"MU!!" A voice rang in her ears as she bolted to her feet. Practically jumping from her bed to do a front flip into a standing position.
"Wha!? WHAT HAPPENED!?" she shouted, confused.
"Woah, calm down Mu... I just wanted to wake you up early since we, well, I will be going to work in a moment and Bow will take you to apply for an education center." Mu looked at Hattie who was standing near the doorframe. All fully suited and ready to leave.
Listening closely, she could hear some noise coming from the first floor. That must be Bow, probably preparing breakfast or somethin.
Mu yawned as she walked to the bathroom next to the bedroom.
"Fine, fine, I'm coming." she washed her face as she walked to the elevator to meet with Boe and Hattie who were already sitting at the dining table.
She looked at the right corner of the table to find what looked like purple milk(?) and something green she couldn't identify on the plate.
Hattie and Bow were having whatever that was, happily eating it without a thought. It was probably not poisonous, right?
Mu sat down at the table as she started eating as well. The milk tasted like chocolate(?) and the green orbs tasted like... pecking steak... what the hell kind of breakfast was this...
She ignored the completely unethical and probably poisonous dinner as she finished her plate. Waiting for Hattie to start the conversation.
However, instead, Hat Kid decided to stand up and simply leave...
"See you Bow, try not to die in your first day Mu." Hat Kid spoke as she left for the door.
"..." Mu stared at her until the left. She wondered how dangerous the 'education center' could even be considering children went there... Then again, children here worked in construction...
Seeing Mu's unease, Bow spoke.
"You don't have to worry Mu, edu centers are really well guarded. There has never been a report of anyone getting injured while in an edu center, ever."
This somewhat put Mu at ease as she stopped shuffling her hair. Bow also finished her breakfast as she stood up and headed for the door. Pressing a button that called a few flying gadget thingies(?) that cleaned up the table.
"Come on, we better get going as well." Bow spoke as Mu walked to the door.
This was gonna be an interesting day, to say the least...
...
Mu along with Bow walked through a glass door as they arrived at some kind of lobby.
The interior was super futuristic with kids with hoverboards and drones buzzing about to add flavor.
Bow went to talk with the kid at the front as Mu sat down on a nearby bank to wait it out.
Every now and then, a kid would glance at her but stop glaring the moment they saw her ID as if it was a sin to stare at her...
Just before Mu started getting uncomfortable, Bow came back with a slightly older kid next to her.
"Mu, this is Puzzle Kid, one of my co-workers."
