Being without Noya would never get any easier, but you both made a promise to do your best to keep in touch and keep the other informed when one was away. It was Yu's turn to go abroad, although this time it was for a training program a university was holding regarding volleyball and he was invited to be a guest of honor. While he may wind up feeling strangely bored at some times without you with him, but that just makes it all the better when he finally gets to come home to you Not to mention, it made it a lot easier to call and text. You were still able to hear from him, hear some updates and give some updates of your own. Two weeks without him is a lot longer than a normal two weeks, but you two did your best to make the time move by swiftly.
About a week in, on a quiet night, you decided to give him a call. While it was 6:00 pm for you, it was 7:00 am for him, and he was just waking up as you were making yourself comfortable on the couch, post dinner time. Favoring a video call to see that handsome face before he's off to work, you decided an extra little treat to give him would be throwing on one of his t-shirts. In only two rings, he picked up the phone. Despite being just a bit groggy, he immediately gives you that sleepy smile with half-lidded chocolate eyes that you can't wait to see up close again when he returns.
"Morning, sweetheart... or evening for you."
The smile on your face appears instantly, and he hears the little chuckle escaping your lips.
"Good morning to you, honey. You have to get up soon, right, today's the day of another meeting ?"
Noya rolls onto his back, rubbing gently at one of his eyes.
"Yeah, I've gotta get up and shower, but I've still got some time."
You hum before responding, "Still got some time for me, you mean ?"
"No one else but you."
His honest words make your heart flutter every single time, but it laid the foundation for a fun idea to really energize him that morning. Not to mention, you've been eager to do this again for a while now. For a few minutes, the chatting is casual and normal for you both. Checking in on each other, making sure the other is doing well. Definitely making sure that he is staying safe and everything is going according to plan, but he was always so lovely talking to you, it was obvious by his tone of voice alone how much he enjoyed talking with you. How the two of you don't even need to be talking about anything in particular, and he was always happy with it, and frankly, seeing it all over again... it made you just as happy.
