Hibiki is a sixteen-year-old boy of above-average height with a well-built physique, honed through years of rigorous training. He sports an indigo haori paired with black hakama pants, and beneath his haori, Hibiki wields two katanas. His dark brown hair is styled in a windswept manner, featuring a longer fringe that drapes from the right side of his face. At the back, his hair is tied into a long ponytail that cascades down to his waist.

Hibiki is often described as elegant, polite, funny, and humble. His good looks and charm have not gone unnoticed, particularly by the females he encounters.
History
Hibiki's past is shrouded in mystery. At the tender age of eight, he lost his mother to an unknown disease. By eleven, his father, a soldier, had perished while protecting their country. Following these tragedies, Hibiki left his village, spending a few years in the Red-Light District before traveling and offering his swordsmanship for money. At fifteen, while journeying at night, he confronted his first demon. With the assistance of Kanae Kocho, they defeated the creature, leading to his invitation to join the Demon Slayer Corps.
