[Song dedicated - I miss you, I'm sorry by Gracie Abrams]

The soft and radiant glow of the moon filled the night sky, casting a gentle light on the city below, enhancing its beauty.

In the luxurious 30th-floor apartment, an unidentified man sat comfortably on the couch with his tall figure and relaxed demeanor, casually inquiring in a nonchalant tone, "What shall we do now?"

Kai responded calmly as he dried his wet hair after a revitalizing shower, "Just hold on a moment." The man reassured Kai as he rose from the comfortable couch, casually grabbing a bottle of water to quench his thirst. "I have everything completely under control; all evidence has been destroyed. Our first step towards our goal is almost finished," he added confidently.Kai nodded in agreement, feeling reassured by the man's words.

Upon concluding the discussion, Kai shifted his gaze outside through the window. The night was enveloped in a breathtaking beauty, in stark contrast to the prevailing atmosphere within him, characterized by a tumultuous mixture of dark, distressing memories that seemed to haunt his mind.

He closed his eyes, attempting to suppress the myriad of complex emotions swirling within, and finally mustered the courage to voice his innermost fear in a hoarse tone, "Will he accept me?"

The man remained silent for several minutes, carefully considering the question posed by Kai. He clenched his hands tightly around the glass in his grasp and gritted his teeth. Finally, he spoke, acknowledging that the decision was inevitable."Of course he will," the man conceded, a hint of resignation in his voice."After all, we never really had any choice in the matter, did we?" His anger began to show as he continued, "And if that worthless piece of garbage dares to do anything stupid, I'll be the first one to deal with him."

The man's words carried a weight of frustration and resentment towards the situation at hand. His willingness to take action against any potential misbehavior showed his determination to uphold a certain standard of behavior. The tension in the room was palpable as the man's emotions ran high.Despite his outward bravado, there was a sense of underlying vulnerability in his tone.

Upon hearing the man's words, Kai chuckled softly and responded, "Well, I suppose everyone is aware of how Mr. Gentlemen tends to swear as well." As he turned back to look at the man with raised eyebrows, the man met Kai's gaze and let out a soft sigh inwardly.

He had no intention of exposing Kai for changing the topic, as he understood the deep impact of past traumas on his friend. He recognized that Kai had endured far more difficult and vicious experiences than he had in his lifetime.Despite his own involvement in seeking revenge, fueled by his own past experiences, a significant motivation behind his actions was his deep bond with Kai, whom he loved like a brother. He was willing to follow Kai down any path, even if it meant committing crimes, in order to seek justice for both him and the countless victims who had suffered at the hands of the unjust underworld.

"Only you have the privilege of hearing this," the man said with a self-satisfied smile.Kai chuckled softly at the man's response and remarked, "I'm not sure if it's an honor or not." The man called out in a playful tone, "Kai!!" which led to a chorus of warm laughter filling the apartment.

Their lighthearted moment was interrupted by a soft "meow" coming from the corner, causing Kai to pause his laughter and pick up Ginger, who had just woken up from a nap.He gently cradled the cat, stroking its soft fur lovingly. As Kai continued to pet the cat, the doorbell suddenly rang, prompting Kai to gesture for the man to answer the door.

The gentleman followed Kai's instructions and answered the call with a curious "Who?". The stranger waiting outside the door paused for a moment before responding with a hint of exhaustion, "I believe Dr. Allen resides here." Kai's eyes widened upon hearing this ,he quickly put down ginger on ground soflty getting a dissatisfied cry from ginger and he quickly exclaimed, "Oh my goodness, I completely forgot about Allen! Hurry, let him in."

The gentleman opened the door, only to be surprised when he recognized his acquaintance and saw Allen in their arms.Perplexed, the man squinted slightly and called out in confusion, "Zain?"

Zain raised his eyebrows and offered a polite smile, gesturing for the man to enter.Despite his confusion as to why Zain was there, the man managed to carry Allen over to a nearby shoe rack.

Zain offered his assistance, easily picking up Allen and asking Kai, "Where to?" Kai, feeling guilty for forgetting about Allen, quickly responded and directed Zain, "Straight ahead to the corner and then left." Zain nodded and carried Allen to his room.

The stranger observed everything that was unfolding before his eyes, finding it slightly unbelievable as he watched the individual standing in front of him."Excuse me, please," Kai politely gestured to the stranger, giving him a welcoming smile.

The man studied Kai intently before finally taking a seat on the couch. "Thank you for bringing Allen, I truly appreciate it," Kai expressed his gratitude to the man as he handed him a glass of water."It's no problem," the man responded slowly, experiencing a moment of speechlessness as he looked at Kai, feeling a mixture of emotions.

Taking a deep breath to calm his nerves, the man cleared his throat and began to speak, "You are..." Kai flashed a friendly smile in response and introduced himself, "Kai Huang." As they reached out to shake hands, the man revealed his name as "Rowan Steler."

Kai was on the verge of starting a conversation with Rowan when Zain emerged swiftly from Allen's room, a sense of urgency in his movements as he urged, "We should go." Kai observed the exchange between Zain and Rowan with confusion, prompting him to ask, "Do you two know each other?" Zain met Kai's gaze with a look of helplessness and replied, "Probably."

Upon hearing Zain's response, Kai felt his heart rate quicken as a sense of impending chaos washed over him.Kai continued to hold back his emotions and quietly responded with a soft "alright".

He guided both Zain and Rowan to the door, and as they were about to leave, Zain motioned for Rowan to give them some privacy as he needed to have a private conversation with Kai. After some hesitation, Rowan exited first.

Observing Kai's anxious expression, Zain spoke with seriousness, "I believe you will encounter him sooner than expected, he is a close friend his and he will soon become aware of you. Take care of yourself and your well-being", Zain reassured Kai before departing.

Kai remained motionless, the echoes of Zain's words ringing in his mind as he stood there, listening to the fading footsteps outside.

Kai was overcome with a sense of anticipation as the moment he had always thought would never come was finally approaching. He was about to meet the person who had been the foundation of his existence since his mother's passing.Despite never imagining this meeting would happen so soon, Kai's heart and soul were overwhelmed with a multitude of emotions and unanswered questions. His heart urged him to run towards this person, yet he felt paralyzed by conflicted feelings of resentment and longing.

Kai was aware that there was no other choice for him but to face this meeting, a truth that had been affirmed by Zain. In a state of emotional turmoil, he closed his eyes and clenched his fists, feeling a bitter taste in his mouth as tears trickled down his cheeks, betraying the emotions he had kept hidden inside.

He will meet Christian alfred.
