Rise of Midnight

"Night! Hurry up you asshole!" Maverick shouted as he waited for Midnight to get out of his car.

"Why are you in a rush? We're just on time, you little prick," he said before playfully hitting Maverick on the back of his head.

"I want Calvin's mango shake, bakit ba? Kapag ayon naubos niya na ikaw ang bibili ng para sakin."

With a sour face, Midnight walked past Maverick and made his way to the campus, looking around for Calvin.

"Night," he heard someone call him that made him look in that direction.

"Cal, oh? who do we have here?" he said when she saw two ladies behind him.

"Oh yeah, this is Valerie Hidalgo, a friend of mine transferee, and her friend, Gernise Yrise Sy."

"Nice to meet you, I'm Midnight Gleek Reed, a friend of Calvin," he said and offered his hands to them, which they gladly accepted.

"Valerie," she said while shaking his hand before looking at the other woman.

"Midnight," he said with a smile.

"Gernise, Rise for short." and just like a lightning struck, he felt a of jolt spark as their hand-touched.

"I would melt if you kept on looking at me that way," Gernise joked, making Maverick burst out laughing.

"Dude, you're embarrassing," he said in between his laughs.

"I'm Maverick the most handsome," he said while offering his hands to them as well.

"Why are you spreading lies?" a woman said, making all of them look at her.

"Janzel, you meanyy," Maverick hissed.

"Just telling the truth," she shrugged before looking at the two new ladies.

"Hi, Janzel Vallega, a friend of them," she said with a soft smile.

Genrise on the other hand, was just observing the chaos that has been happening right in front of her eyes.

Maverick and Janzel are bickering back and forth, making Midight the middle man.

"Enough with that kids, we need to go to class." Another woman arrived.

"Hi, I'm Sky. I'm so sorry about these kids. Nakalimutan nilang mga matatanda na sila," she said, making everyone walk towards their building.

"Anong program ka?" Sky asked.

"Business Ad, are you guys in BA as well? Lahat kasi kayo papunta sa same building?" Gernise asked.

"Yeah, we're all children of business people; that's why," Sky said. She looked at Gernise.

"You're Yrise Sy right? Sy Corp.?" she added, with a wide smile.

"And you're a Lopez, right? Lopez trading?" Sky nodded her head before looking at their friend's direction.

"I'm pretty sure you also know those idiots."

"Midnight and Maverick? Who doesn't know the players Maverick Lacsamana and his best friend Midnight Reed, who are also the sons of the famous LGC and RGC?" Sky chuckled upon hearing how Gernise describe the two.

As they all reached the building, they were greeted by familiar faces.

"Johansen, Thasia, Sil, kanina pa kayo?" Sky asked, making Gernise realize who those are.

"You little twerp!" Anasthasia hissed to Silver.
