After his meeting with the Hokage, Naruto decided to take a walk in the village so get his mind clear about certain things. "I don't know why you are stressing Naruto. Just tell her how you feel, and maybe she'll return your feelings." the kyubi told his partner. 'You just don't get it, Kurama. What if she doesn't like me too and I make the whole situation weird and then our friendship is destroyed' Naruto replied in frustration 'Only you are dense enough not to see that Hinata also likes you' Kurama thought at his dense container "You might never know until you try" 'Yeah wel-' "HEY, LET GO OF ME!" a familiar voice shouted, which Naruto recognised 'Konohamaru!' 'Konohamaru!' Both jinchuriki and biju thought at the same time. Naruto quickly rushed towards where he heard Konohamaru. Arriving at the scene, he saw a boy wearing a cat suit and make-up? And said boy was roughing up Konohamaru. Standing next to him was a blonde girl who tied her hair into four buns
Without a sound, he vanished from his vantage point, reappearing directly behind Kankuro, close enough for his breath to tickle Kankuro's ear.
"Let go of him," Naruto's voice was cold, sending a shiver down Kankuro's spine. Before Kankuro could react, Naruto had already pinned Temari to the ground with one swift motion, his intense blue gaze locking onto both Sand Shinobi, who were utterly taken aback.
They hadn't even sensed him.
"Who the hell are you?" Kankuro stammered, trying to process how Naruto had appeared so suddenly.
Naruto's eyes flickered to the trees nearby, where he had already sensed another presence. "You should watch what you're doing," he said, his tone dangerously calm, pointing towards a figure who sat perched in the shade of the branches. "I don't think he would be too happy with you messing around like this."
Gaara's figure slowly faded into view, his cold, murderous gaze trained on his sibling.
"Kankuro," Gaara spoke, voice chilling and emotionless, "if you don't release him, I'll kill you."
Kankuro froze, trembling as Gaara's words sank in. Naruto stepped back, a faint smirk on his lips, and crossed his arms as he watched the scene unfold, knowing the impact Gaara's words would have. Temari, still trying to recover from Naruto's unexpected appearance, felt her heart race, her mind reeling as she realized they'd underestimated this Konoha shinobi.
"You intrigue me. What is your name?" Gaara asked
"Naruto. Naruto Uzumaki, and please keep your teammates on a leash unless you want to cause an international incident by hurting the Hokage's grandson." Naruto said with a cold glare and leaking KI
"Mother likes you, Uzumaki, and I WILL have your blood, and my existence will be known." Gaara said, also releasing a bit of bloodlust
As the tension in the air reached its peak, Naruto suddenly paused, his posture straightening unnaturally. His eyes flickered from their usual blue to a deep, burning crimson with slitted pupils. A dark, commanding voice, laced with arrogance, echoed from Naruto's mouth:
"Well, well, if it isn't the oversized tanuki. Shukaku, still running your mouth and acting tough, I see. How's it feeling knowing you're still the weakest of us all? Oh wait, don't answer that-you've always been a joke."
Gaara's eyes changed from Shukaku bristled, the sand around him shifting violently. "Kurama?! You mangy fox! You think just because you're a little bigger, you're better than me?!"
Kurama smirked through Naruto's face. "Bigger? Smarter. Stronger. More useful. The humans wanted me, not you. You were just a last resort-always have been, always will be."
Shukaku growled, sand coiling around him as his temper flared. "Say that again, you overgrown mutt!"
Kurama chuckled darkly. "Why waste my breath? You'll just lose again, like you always do. Sit down, Shukaku-you're embarrassing yourself."
